I'm pretty jealous of both of these things, but especially the betty boop. I was Betty Boop one Halloween, and nobody knew what I was supposed to be. To be fair, my costume was a little off.

I love that you didn't change her name. She seems pretty awesome and pretty chill! What does she like to eat?

Mostly she eats wax worms. An occasional strawberry or yam during the winter when worms are scarce. The guy at the local bait shop knows we use his stuff for her so he saves her the best ones. She just woke up last week from her long winters nap (always miss her for that few months). On her geocache page I used a pic of her that I photoshopped in a GPS in her hand.

She has a geocache page!?! That turtle is more advanced than I am. Does she really sleep for months? Does she just eat a lot beforehand?

PS I love this Toucan Sam! I once dressed up as a pig when I worked at a bank. It was fun. Sweaty fun.

Yeah, she usually sleeps for about 3 months during winter. Normally she eats her fill (about a dozen worms) twice a month, but a month before and a month after she sleeps she will pig out at least once a week. This year she got a late start on her nap so she slept in an extra month... like a teenager. We've had her 7 years now, and have no idea how old she was when we got her (but she was full grown at that point). Now thats awake we put her in the bathtub for an hour while I put in new coconut husks (looks like dirt, but much nicer), a new pool, new UV light, and some new friends in the form of garden statues and welcome sign with turtles crawling on them. During the penguino party she even gets 2 strands of itsy bitsy Christmas lights!

But she's not spoiled...

Whoa! I love all your collection of boops and trolls! The main thing I collect is stuffed animals and they don't always get along with Maggie!

I wasn't on the forum last night because our dog Maggie ran out of the yard. It was getting dark out and I legitimately FREAKED OUT. I rode my bike around looking for her and when I was almost home, she came trailing behind me. I'm sooooo thankful!

I can't imagine not having my Magatha Christie around.

"But she's not spoiled..." lol! She sounds like she's living the life! That's so fascinating. I've never had a turtle, but I think I would keep poking it all the time while it was napping to make sure it was alive. Her alter ego is also adorable.
I really don't know much about geocaching, but I love nature, so it looks and sounds fun.
