Well, that fits "Derry" and "Londonderry" to a tee . . . however, I don't think Ireland is known for its wines!

Not that it's known for wine and cheese... but since I am Hungarian, I must answer Budapest, since it technically has 2 names:

In 1873 Buda and Pest were officially merged with the third part, Óbuda (Ancient Buda), thus creating the new metropolis of Budapest.
