I use RTAs and will often re-wick, but not change coils. When I used drop-in coils, I would change coils only when the flavor profiles conflicted... going from a watermelon to a strawberry didn't bother me, but going from a coffee to a fruit did... or vice versa. Of course, it's a matter of taste and therefore very subjective. It's also a question of budget... if you can afford to toss still usable coils just because you want to change flavors, or you can't afford/dont want to waste a coil and can tolerate bizarre flavors for a bit.
I was going to say something, but. @Baditude beat me to it. Nord coils have a massive amount of wick, which holds the flavor seemingly forever.
I myself change the wick, not the coil. When I get really fiesty, I'll wash out my squonk bottle.
I recommend squonking.
He he, well now I need to know what squonking is! Is running PG through it as @GOMuniEsq suggested? I did understand that it’s actually the wick that retains the previous flavor, but I don’t think that you can replace it in the Nord coils.

I'd be a bit hesitant to run straight PG though a coil, but you could definitely vape some unflavoured juice to clear out the old flavour. My strategy for changing flavours with drop-in coils was much like what others have mentioned - I'd just switch directly if the flavours were complimentary, but if they didn't go well together I'd vape a tank of unflavoured in between.
Sorry, I can't envision a PG flush working with a system where the wick is so enclosed as the Nord. Definitely agree that saving the soaked coil in a baggie and storing it with the flavor bottle is a smart way to do it. Vape juice doesn't dry out so you don't need to worry about it getting crusty on you.He he, well now I need to know what squonking is! Is running PG through it as @GOMuniEsq suggested? Oh it's a thing alright, for me and probably more than a few others here. When I make a (or buy a pre-mixed) base liquid (PG/VG/nic), I'll keep 120ml of it next to my 30ml 'filler bottle'. That bottle's contents will either be just the base (so it's 'unflavored'), or the base with a little flavor added. 9 x's out of 10 I'll vape just the base for about a month, and the next month will be a 'flavored' one.Ah, OK. I didn't know unflavored juice was a thing..

If you don’t change the coil, will the previous flavor continue to linger, or will it burn off? In case it matters, I’m currently using a SMOK Nord pod device.
