Could be it just needs a very hot bath....which is something I would do with a used mod anyway. While running the mod under hot water, you can work the button up and down....should make a difference.

Also, light pressure is all you usually need. You can hold the mod by your ear and gently press the button. When you hear it fire, you'll get an idea of how much pressure you need

Hold the Reo up to your ear and slowly press the button. When you hear the Reo fire thats all you need to fire the Reo. You don't have to push the button hard at all. That will give you a good idea on the distance and pressure required to fire your coil. Welcome to Reoville.

so im getting a little nervous. i bought these batteries: Batteries : AW Protected 18500
and stuck them in my intellicharger i2 that i've used for my other pv batteries with no issue. I think it's slowly charging them, but it also seems like it keeps resetting the lights. I hope these were the right batteries for the mini 2.1 or i'll cry! ><

They will work. Might be a little long and compress the spring further though.

The AW IMR are safe batteries that do not have the protection circuit that yours have. So they are a tad shorter.

I don't know if you'll see it in the other thread. If you want to try using your last knuckle of your little finger it should fit the squonk hole and save your nails. I also thought maybe using your drip tip to squonk. I pull mine a lot to see how much I squonk. HTH

so another noob question /sigh.
since i'm stuck using these 510 attys due to my not normal post man screwing up and not really delivering my order with my other reo and rm2's, i'm still trying to use my mini and get the hang of it so i'll be ready to go when i DO get them on tuesday.
I seem to either flood the atty or get a burnt taste. note:i have never dripped before, or really used a 510 atty, only tanks :/ I'm putting my big girl panties on and trying to figure it out. once i blow out the atty it works ok for a little. I think im just squonking poorly. Is there always a little bit of air bubbles that come out first when squonking? i guess this is the learning curve, at least on this silly atty :/

you need to suck on the atty at the same time you squonk to draw liquid up into the atty, will take a little practice put just before you flood it, you will feel a slight pressure change, stop and give it a second for liquid to drain back into the bottle, draw without firing a few times. Then you should be set. I was able to get 5 or 6 hits before I needed to repeat. If it gurgles you flooded it, blow it out and try again.

This is to the OP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You go brother Reonaut!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I personally like to use the RM2 (Reomizer). Build my own micro coils. For ease of use and fill and go. (check battery and clean every week). It don't get more simple than a Super Shorty carto (1.7ohm) and a full bottle of juice and batteries. If you happen to burn a carto out, So simple to pull a shorty carto out of your pocket and replace, squonk and vape.
