Any Chicago folk out there?

I am in Florida, but have family from the Chicago area, West Suburbs. Florida is very loose about using ECigs in indoor areas, but I know you can get nailed with at least a $100 fine if you are caught smoking a stinker 15 ft from doors of businesses in Illinois. I want to visit, but I do not want to go home with my ecig leaving me in debt! Plus I want my Mom to quit smoking and start vaping, but dont want to get her in trouble telling her she can do it anywhere, if she can't. Any suggestions?

I live in Chicago, and have no problem vaping. I do it in restaurants, stores, everywhere. I sometimes get an employee asking me what that is, but I have never encountered hostility.

I can confirm as well. I vape in bars and restaurants all the time and never have any issues. Just be cool about it and don't blow vapor in peoples faces. It has been a great conversation starter.
