Any Dental Issues, Successes?

I had a root-canal that went south about two years ago. I needed three operations over the course of a year and a half to clean, drain and squash the infection. Still had a terrible taste and smell in my mouth and sinuses until...
I switched to vaping in November 2008. Lo and behold, the damn thing cleared up in a week. If I "steal" an analog, it gets aggravated, otherwise it's like it doesn't bother me at all. That was an unexpected bonus.

LEAFORD has a coupon code. (Shhh!) Makes you wonder why we're the only one's to have it!

I can see another Dr3$w0r1d brewing. 'nuff said.

Let's stay on topic, kids. No one likes to get banned.

It's not a "super-mini"... so your "HD" is a Suzuki DR-Z125L (no teeth)?

Maybe I'll post a pic of our Custom Works HD V-Rod so you can drool?
Drool and teeth are on topic, no?

Hmm, just speculating, but PG is an anti-microbial. Maybe it's keeping the bacteria low enough that they aren't irritating your tooth's nerve.

Ive noticed my teeth getting whiter after 4 months of vaping..

Well, that is exactly what most of us hope for. :D

OK, we're not going to go there again. Drew, if you can't stay on topic, stay off the thread. Feel free to post though when you have a contribution to make about vaping and dental issues.

There's obviously a personality conflict here and this forum is not the place to air it. PM each other if you must.....but leave this thread for its intended purpose.

About the dental issues... No question stopping the analogs will greatly improve your dental health. The tar in the analogs is what does the gum tissue the most harm. My peridontist claims that peridontal health goes up about 90%, when a patient stops smoking. Personally, since I have stopped the analogs, ( about 8 weeks ago) most of my lower front tooth sensitivity has gone away, my teeth are whiter, my gums are no longer red, but more of a pink color, and my whole mouth just feels better. Not sure what effect if any vaping has on the dental issue, but if things stay the way they are, I can definately live with it.

I've been vaping for about a month now, and I have noticed that my gums are ::much:: healthier looking. I'm going to the dentist next week, will find out if they are indeed getting better. My teeth also are looking whiter.
The main thing I've noticed is that my sinuses are much better. Hadn't had any more problems since I started vaping as long as I vape exclusively and do not smoke analogs.

well, without getting too graphic here..

i developed some kind of gum infection. my lower gum looked like it was growing up into the gap between my teeth. i took 4 b-complexes immediately and within 24 hours it was gone.

this may have been due to something i was doing the night before this developed. my tongue/face was in an area located behind and down on my girlfriends body for about 30 minutes. so this may or may not have had something to do with it.

sorry if that grosses anyone out.

but i was really wondering what caused it.

I posted some of this on a different section of the forum:

I have just recently visited my personal physician, optometrist, dental hygienist, and dentist, since switching 100% to the PV in January. I explained it and showed it to them, and they were all extremely interested and supportive. They all asked me to write down contact information so they could research these devices to describe to other patients. Naturally I put this forum on the list!

My hygienist immediately mentioned that my gums had already started to fill in the recessions that resulted from continual smoking, and were much pinker due to increased supply of oxygen and blood.

She also noted the slight additional bleeding, which she said was to be expected as the blood supply improved in the previously damaged tissue. She had the dentist write me a prescription for Peridex mouthwash to temporarily help with this.

I also asked specifically if the nicotine from the PV would cause more or less staining on my teeth, or whether the tobacco smoke was the main culprit. She stated that staining was chiefly caused by tobacco smoke and resulting tars, not nicotine, and verified that my teeth were less stained than in my previous visits over the last 10 years.

Note I started with RY4 PG for the first couple of weeks, but switched to JC VG (vanilla ice cream) and that is all I use now. Although I can vape either if necessary, the VG is much smoother to my throat.

I chipped the filling in my front tooth a couple days ago, and I think it might have been due to holding the e-cig in my teeth...

Also, my dentist noted irritation under my tongue and asked if I had been using chewing tobacco... I did not tell him about vaping (at least not yet). Don't know if there is any connection.
