There was a guy on here for awhile that was a non smoker and vaped only zero nicotine juice. He just disappeared so maybe he quit. We do get people thinking about it stopping in now and then. We try to discourage them for fear they'll start an addiction they don't need.

I have no idea how it would compare because I can't be on both side of that fence.

Lots of people on ECF advocate for non smokers to take up vaping. Their reasons are varied and sketchy at best. ADHD, ADD, depression, lack of self esteem, wanting to fit in with their smoking buddies, rebellion against overly conservative parents, unable to focus and the attention span of a fruit fly, doctor won't treat their psychological problems, etc. And this was all by one young lady in her first post on ECF.
So yes, there are some on here who actually advocate for non smokers to take up vaping and develop a nicotine addiction for all the reasons stated. Somewhere, buried deep in the sub forums of ECF there is a thread dedicated to non-smokers who advocate vaping nicotine for their percieved psychological victimizations.
Personally, I do not advocate taking up vaping for those who do not currently have an addiction to nicotine.

Everyone here was a non Smoker until they started smoking.

I vape because I'm an addict and couldn't quit smoking. That's the only reason I go through the expense of ecigs, charging batteries, ordering juice and hating it, buying and filling cartos, cleaning attys. To be honest, I can't imagine anyone in their right mind doing it for any other reason. But whatever floats your boat.

See the little sign in my sig? The money saved is a joke. Not that I'm complaining but I can think of tons of things I could spend that money on besides vaping.

Swedishfish nailed it. Most of us have had one or (many) more failed attempts at quitting smoking cigarettes. We're damned excited that we have an alternative that doesn't include sucking burning paper, tar, tobacco and thousands of chemicals in our lungs that satisfies our nic addiction. We can't go anywhere without our ecig, supplies and backups. The addiction is still there, the delivery method is improved. Starting to vape if you're not addicted to nic is a dumb idea.

I went from dipping to vaping. Does that count?

Count as what? Did your dip have nicotine in it? Did you run out to the quik-Stop for more dip when you were about to run out? If yes, then you were addicted to nicotine and vaping is a much safer alternative for nicotine intake than ingesting any and all forms of vegetable tobacco products.

i'll keep it simple, IT'S THE DUMBEST THING YOU COULD EVER DO.

No smoking your 1st cigarette would be dumber and even that doesn't rank as dumbest.

I remembered the guys name it was MasterofChaos and it looks like he's still and active member just not in the same sections of ECF I frequent apparently.
