"Non-smoker" starting to vape.
Well, not really...
I smoked a solid PAD of light cigs for about 10 years, but that was 10 years ago. I quit! It took quite a few tries and was a real struggle, I would go back to them a few times a year from stress or the going out to clubs/bars and have to quit all over again. Finally I started getting into smoking cigars instead of cigs since I could get a couple of nice cigars to puff on for a whole evening, and not be back to buying packs of smokes. And I still smoked my beloved kretecks with some regularity, but NOT daily. I don not believe that I am addicted to nicotine but I have very strong urges to smoke according to situation (clubs/bars!) and sometimes just feel like relaxing with a smoke for no reason other than I love the taste and feel.

I have always had real respiratory issues with smoking analogs. Even my cigars and the kretecks I love so much. That's why I'm pursuing vaping. I LOVE the flavor of smoke, I love "smoke" and "smoking"... but I'm almost out of the cases of kretecks I bought before the ban and stored(and I totally and unashamedly plan to smoke every last one of them), and I want to stay away from increasing the amount of cigars, and other analogs that would replace my kreteks, that I smoke on occasion. And have already done so with some of the vanilla disposable e-cigs. Vape is a way for me to fill my desire to smoke much more than a "need". When I vape instead of smoke I have no respiratory issues.

As far as people saying if you aren't addicted to analogs NEVER start vaping. I don't get it! (And, yes I've been physically addicted to substances in my life (in addition to cigs as I noted above)... I have a chronic pain disease and have been on long term morphine and kicked that cold... I KNOW what addiction feels like.)
Lots of people feel they must drink coffee or colas daily to get a caffeine fix... and no one denigrates them for their "diet coke addiction" or "5hour Energy addiction". To me vaping is the same, and completely different from scoring your fix from analogs due to the health dangers associated with them. Whether one decides to use full strenght nic juice, low nic juice, or zero nic juice is a moot point and personal choice. I have ordered 18mg and 12mg nic so far... but I will probably also order low nic juice so that I can sometimes vape MORE. Flavor and feel are my primary drives. I find nic to be a bonus, like my daily coffee habit. :vapor:

I quit smoking cigarettes in 1999. After quitting combustibles, I began to recreationally use nicotine gum and patches as a safer way to get my fix. After 12 years and a small fortune, I decided to ditch nicotine gum. Now I'm vaping away on my ego that is outfitted with a Smok dual coil Cart that is always filled with 24mg juice. I would speculate that a nonsmoker who is seriously interested in vaping nicotine fluid isn't actually a non-smoker, they're a future smoker looking for a less dangerous way to consume a legal nonprescription stimulant for whatever reason (performance enhancement, self medication, etc.) and caffeine isn't doing the trick.

Cigarettes smell/taste bad to everyone at first, but plenty of people are drawn to them and start smoking. I've talked to some other former smokers about how they started, and several commented that even when they were young, the smell of a stranger smoking bothered their noses but felt "right" somewhere in their brains. I don't think non-smokers experience this.

I wouldn't encourage a non-smoker to start vaping and would suggest 0mg if they were just curious about it, but there are certainly going to be people who want to consume nicotine. Better that they bypass cigarettes for ecigs, no doubt.

I don't know why a non-smoker would want to add nic to their e-juice. I did, always ordering the lowest I could get (3mg and 6mg) -- but I did it because I was at first concerned that I wouldn't get the flavor.

if i could go back in time i would not have started smoking at all but when i was a teen i had to start whether it was peer pressure or a phase that made me start i couldn't say but i'm 27 and started when i was 13 so half my life i've been smoking and i feel i've finally quit. and i don't think it was ever the nicotine i only smoked 4-8 cigs a day and i only vape low nic Juice. it was more the act of smoking the feeling of smoke in your lungs. maybe i'm crazy but i never wanted to quite before becuase i can't give up that feeling.
