Alrighty, so after the 2+ years I've been vaping, I still to this day randomly have those really discouraging days with juice and hardware. I'm talking about the kinds of days that give me those fleeting thoughts like "I should just get a cigalike" or "I should just use Nicorette."

Well you guessed it, I had one of those days today. After getting a bunch of new juices and tanks in the mail, I had a week straight of totally perfect vaping. Then today I got dry hits or leaks with 3 different juices and 3 different cartos, with and without a tank. Sweet juice, sour juice, Smoktech, Boge, single or double punched in 2 different brands of tanks, or just without a tank... it all worked horribly. So I just unscrewed everything, gave it all a rinse with hot water, and packed it in for the night. haha, damn it.

So I was just wondering if other folks who aren't new to this anymore still sometimes have "one of those days."

P.S. Kind of related: to any eRoll owners out there, would that be a good purchase to make for something to use when I get frustrated with the carto fuss? (I dislike dripping and clearos so they're out.) I'm intrigued by the eRoll... it's just a shame I have a Vamo (my third VV) and 25 Boge LR cartos on the way in the mail. :2cool:

I get annoyed with all the things u mentioned but my biggest annoyance is leaking issues. I gotta say the eroll preforms amazing and does not leak (ever) but you have to keep filling the eroll (also annoying)
But the eroll will not disappoint it preforms like a big guy . But you would likey cycle on and off the eroll like myself. just my 2 cents:)

While I don't miss smoking analogs, I do sometimes miss the simplicity of it. The 'just grab one-light it-smoke it-put it out' thing. The constant fiddling with VV, topping off my favorite clearos a billion times a day, constantly recharging batteries, leaks, dry hits, vaper's tongue, and all that does seem taxing some days, but I'm still happier more days than not. I think what you're feeling is completely normal for anyone who has vaped for any length of time, or even just for a few months, like me.

When I feel one of my RBA's isn't performing up to my standards I just rebuild it. Wick and coils on my Nimbus have been going good for about a month and a half now and my Kayfuns are about 2 weeks on their builds and have been the best vape I've ever had. I did have problems with cartos when I used them, dry hits and muted flavor. I ditched them and couldn't be happier.

i definitely understand what you mean, i've been vaping on and off since 2010. I have a setup that works pretty well right now but i really do miss the simplicity of a cigalike device... Just getting tired of being asked at the bar or out somewhere "what is that thing??" or getting funny looks, cigalikes are so main stream now that people don't even look twice when they see one which is awesome. My biggest pet peeve is spending loads of cash on juice... waiting for the order to be fulfilled and mailed out... waiting a 2 - 3+ weeks to steep only to find out you only kind of like 1 out of the 6 juices you bought. :/ ah well, life goes on and we shall live to vape another day i suppose.

Have you looked into the Vapor Zeus by vapor4life? As per the reviews i've seen, seems like a pretty no mess easy way to vape

I carry 4 or 5 set-ups with me everywhere I go, all filled up and ready to use. If I trusted my gear to always work with no surprises, I would only carry 2, one to use and one for backup.

But, I've learned that about 30% of the time something will go wrong with at least one (sometimes more than one all at once). At home, that's not an issue. But, when I'm on the way to work, I have absolutely no patience to mess with something that's not working right. If I have 4 or 5, odds are that SOMETHING will work.

I feel we all have those days. Especially bad when a new load of juice arrives and non of them seem to blow your hair back. I have found after over two years of vaping and probably 1000s of buck down the rabbit hole... that Evods are the current champ for value. cheap rebuild-able (to your specs) don't leak (AT ALL) fit anything with a ego adapter... good 3 hour vape per fill. I have an Eroll ...it is fine for out and about. But you need something a little more substantial at home in front of the tv or puter.

I'm kind of paranoid that way too, although I don't lug that many alternate set-ups around. But even if I'm just going to the corner store, I'll still pack an extra battery, 5mls of e-liquid, a car charger, usb charger, and an extra clearo with an extra head in my eGo case. I always think, Well, what if I get held up in a fender-bender, or I break down? :p

With the Eroll you do have to fill tanks/clearos and they're tiny (.5mls) but I can fill 22 of them in less time than it takes to brush my teeth or fill a new carto. Why 22? Because I don't like to fill as I vape nor away from home. I have 6 batts so that 6 and then I have another 16 in anEclipse mint tin. That's a total of 11 mils so filling is not an everyday thing. Other than that, there's zero fiddling other than pulling off an empty, slipping on a full one and putting the empty in the tin. As for something going wrong and having a bad day with it... hasn't happened and kleenex for messy fingers or leaks is a thing of the past even when filling tanks. Those are some of the pros... now for the cons if they are for you (not for me though.) They do mute flavor compared to a carto so a high-flavored juice is essential if you're into a lot of flavor. If you chain vape, it can be a pain switching batteries every 20 to 25 minutes. Its not a problem for me as I use 6 of them and just throw the used ones in one or both of my two PCCs. I'm never without a fully charged battery... ever.

If you want the feel of a cig (skinnier than a 510) and are tired of pushing buttons, the Eroll is good. You don't have to worry about an automatic battery dying from a leak. Not only does the Eroll not leak but the way its built the juice can't hit the battery. And you don't screw on anthing like you do a 510. The tank just slips on the atty and the battery slips in the PCC slot. Its really extremely fiddle-free and user-friendly. I do use a higher nic with it because I use it like a smoke instead of chaining. Taking it out of the PCC and putting back in is more reminiscent of smoking anyway. Hope that helps a bit. But, btw, when I chain, I still use my bigger setups and lower nic.Although I could chain with it, I just don't choose to use it that way.

Haha - a man after my own heart. I do the same thing, keep a spare eGo case with me.

Wow, I didn't expect this many replies when I woke up this morning. It sounds like everyone knows exactly what I'm talking about, which is relieving (and a little unsettling). :p Some great ideas here. I'm going to watch a couple eRoll and Vapor Zeus video reviews today and see how I feel. I had heard of the Vapor Zeus before, but I didn't look into it because I thought it just looked like a cigar (which I hate). However, I didn't know they made them in black too. And I love the simplicity of the eRoll's PCC, I just wish the tanks didn't need a syringe.

But yeah, I definitely do think to myself "I wish it was still that easy" when I see someone on the street with something like a Smokeless Image Volt. I am fine with continuing to try products and find what works for me, because it still means less analogs... but I can't help but feel bummed out when I have a bad day, look at my pile of mods, 18650s and cartos, and know that I still have these thoughts. When I first started vaping I was using a SmokeTip (I think they were KR808s?) and then a Volcano (L88B), and sure, the battery life was poor and pre-filled carts weren't economical, but man, it was convenient.

In the 4 months I've been Vapeing, I've had 3 bad days where none of my liquids tased good Vapers tongue perhaps but went away the next day. Next time I'll try eating something spicy I hear I can help.

If u get a chance please join CASAA - The Consumer Advocates for Smoke-free Alternatives Association they do an awful lot for our right to Vape. Ty.

That is exactly what I do!i have multiple mods and sometimes I am tired of the juice in a tank. Yes, an atty is taking too long to break in. A contact seems to need cleaning. Batteries died no extras that size not in other mod, a juice and device combo is not giving hardly enough throat hit, tired of pressing and holding buttons or big mod box just really too big for my hand and so on and so for. Yes. I have 5 eroll cchargers and two going with a a couple handfulls of batteries and lots of tanks and Atties. I grab an eroll when I'm tired of the frustration and it's funny you should post this and you haven't ever tried one. They are not fr everyone. But I sent my daughter some and told her. " keep it simple. Get going good with these. Don't get lost in the bottomless pit of options out there. It doesn't get better than ths for great handsfree vaping that's convenient, stealthy and very portable. " she works 2 js. She doesn't have time. I'm retired, I do. Ths is what I learned. BUT I'm one who has to learn by doing. Always! I use eroll still over 50 percent of te time but I wouldn't give up my ter mods I've learned to enjoy either
I have a. Vapor Zeus too and not the carto thingy, just regular HR carto. Love it. Drip the carto

I don't use a syringe. There are a few Dekang juices I like with the eroll... real strong as well as mt vapor juices I like and they come in needle nose bottle and I picked up a couple of spare ones like they use in bottom feeders. I use them like syringes and just put my pre-eroll juice in one to fill tanks. If you happen to like tobacco vapes, mt vapor sweet leaf is good in the eroll with or without menthol added... well any of theri tobaccos really as they're on the strong side.

I'm by no means a veteran, but I like to play one on ECF.

Anyway, it's actually comforting to hear that even the veterans get discouraged now and then and I'm just not a fumbling idiot newb. Even in my short time vaping, I have days where everything is perfect or I am all into the experience of trying new stuff, getting new geer, vaping amazing new flavors then the next day it just seems so complicated and I question if it's all worth it.

Recently, I have started just keeping it to the basics on those days. I just go back to my original eGo battery, my first tank I loved, a solid "go-to juice" and put the rest of the stuff aside. I did that yesterday by just bringing those items to work and it made me realize why I started vaping again. Of course, now the downside is that I'm re-energized and ready to go buy more stuff today.

Cheers,
