Anybody else STILL vaping a bit more than they should?

Hi All,
This is my first post: a great forum you have here!

A concerned beginner's question: I decided to quit smoking mainly because of circulation problems. It has been about 4 weeks since I began vaping and I almost totally cut down 'smoking'. Now, I am using the Janty Dura, and almost constantly vape. I am concerned that I am taking more nicotine than I was with smoking (used to finish 1 Marlboro Light a day). As I don't know how to 'calculate' the nicotine intake yet, here is my question: I finish up 1 high (16 ml) and 2 low (6 ml) Dura cartridges a day (I think dura cartridges, as I read here, contain more liquid than some others). Do you think this is too much? --as compared at least with 'smoking'? I have to cut down nicotine intake in the end completely given the nature of my circulatory problems, but just needed to ask this for now.

Thank you!

First week, I vaped like crazy-mad. I had a sore throat and a headache, and finally figured out (after reading some more on this forum) that I was no doubt over-doing it on my nicotine. I stepped back to a medium nicotine solution, and I continued to vape away quite happily.

For a few days, I vaped less, but then I was right back up to vaping more than I had been smoking (no small feat when you consider I was a 2+ pack a day smoker). I modified my routine by using one e-cig with low nic and one with medium, and I'd basically stick with the low nic then move to the high nic when I felt the urge for an analog. Now I've added no nic to my repetoire.

I'm finding that no nic and low nic liquids satisfy my "habit"--the habit of picking something up and inhaling. However, when I start craving an analog, I realize it's time for something more powerful, and I go with a medium nic solution or sometimes even high. So far, it's working great, and I have reduced my overall nicotine intake even though I'm still vaping a lot.

Also, in the last few days, when I get the craving, I realize that I'm no longer thinking, "I want a cigarette," but, rather, I'm thinking, "I need some nicotine." That might not sound like a big difference, but for me it is. It shows that I'm really, truly moving away from analogs, and the longer I'm at this, the more likely that I won't pick up tobacco cigarettes again.

I noticed that I was going a bit overboard myself. I started getting headaches, upset stomach and felt a little jittery. My solution like a lot of peoples has been to go with a two strength set of solutions. I have undiluted 18mg juice for when I feel the strong craving and 9mg or lower for other times. I am considering going even lower for the low strength just to make sure i do not over do it.

My first two weeks i was a vaping demon .... in my first 4 weeks i went through 15 carts and 100ml of high (18mg) juice.
Things have setteld down a lot now. 10 weeks in and i have leveled out to around 1.5 to 2 ml a day depending on how much time i spend at the computer.
I had run out of juice for a day recently so i mixed up some no nic VG/flavors/water and vaped that for a day. Strangely enough i really didn't have nic cravings too bad either.

I think if you enjoy something, you're not hurting anyone else and you can afford it, go ahead and do it.
