Holy crud biscuits...that must last forever lol, very nice! Where is your eGo???

Ron -

LOL! I think that little black thing on the side is the eGo!

If I'm right, n Rustica, what's the white unit that it's plugged into? I've been thinking about getting a PCC, but this looks like it could be a better solution to me.

Thanks for the recommendation! Sounds like your experience is similar to that of my friend. Two solid endorsements for the Submarine! Yeah, I guess those M1A1's are supposed to be made of some virtually indestructible material, but if I'm not mistaken cracks or spider-webbing have been an issue around the fill-hole on them. Probably mostly an aesthetic issue, but still. I think the screw they use is plastic too. The M1A1 has caps though, which sounds like a plus. Overall, it sounds like the Mom and Pop's Sub is probably the winner when factoring in cost -- plus they make great juice! Thanks again!

The M1A1 looks nice. I especially like the caps and different colors available. But yeah, I guess the price difference is a factor for me. I still might get one or two of the M1A1's, despite the spider webbing around the hole.. As long as it doesn't leak around that area, which I haven't heard they do, but I'm just wondering..

I like the Submarine Tank a lot. Besides looking really cool and different, it's been providing a nice clean and smooth vape. After a little trouble getting the top and bottom plugs in just right after each carto change, it stays in place nicely and everything stays bone dry, and with no maintenance required. Plus, I like the contrasting red o-rings in the black plugs.

The little screw goes in and out very easily for an easy refill and it's a very smooth, clean hole with no cracks or that shattered look around the hole. It's like they must drill the hole with a laser or something.

Thanks for asking. :D

I have both of these tanks and like them both but the M1A1 is my favorite. The tube is a stronger material, it does have spider webbing around the hole but I've been using it for 3 months without any leaking issues. Also you don't see them when the screw is in place. The caps give a nice polished look and makes changing cartos much easier than on the sub tank. The carto simply just slips through without displacing the plugs so there is no fiddle factor lining them (or displaced o-rings) back up like on the sub. I also prefer the placement of the screw closer to the top of the tank rather than in the middle. Lots of fun colors too!

I'm not bashing the sub as it is a good tank and works well. I would have to say though that it is not as solidly made. I'm not sure why but the tank slips up on the carto occasionally which causes leaking around the base if I'm not careful. It's really not a big deal but changing cartos can be annoying sometimes.

I also prefer the flavor on the M1A1 but that is probably due to the set up: IPro VV, M1A1 with 801 Ikenvape carto vs. KGO or EGO VV Twist with M&P Sub and 510 Boge carto. I am planning on getting some Ikenvape 510 cartos so I can compare the tanks but Ikenvape has been closed for quite a while. Hopefully they are opening again soon.

Jump my :2c: YMMV

yeah, the 18650 usb charger box costs about $20 less than a pcc, but it took more than a month for it to get delivered from hong kong. i got the white 18650 protected trustfires off dx before i knew about advantages of imr high drain, so googling around manically one night, i found the the USB 10 in 1Mobile Phone Power Supply Charger 18650 Battery Charger now i have a permanent home for the trustfires. i can recharge them without removing them from the device.

simply plug in the mini usb to charge the batteries.

i went ahead and ordered another cheaper model from the same company and i'm still bugging the company to send it to me. i think it might've been lost in the mail. i'm hoping to find a double or quadruple 18650 battery box with enough spare room to build a high mah variable wattage/dna-chipped pv.

Those M1A1's do look pretty bada**. It's definitely a major plus if the top and bottom caps actually screw on to stay in place while changing cartos.

On a side note, I don't get the touting of anything ecig related being indestructible. Although, I do like that about the SilverBullet, since it costs like $200 (It's made out of titanium or something), but honestly, I doubt I'll ever have to worry about someone running over my pv with their truck or a carpenter mistaking my pv tank for a roofing nail and banging the heck out of it. I keep my pvs on my desk or in my jacket pocket usually.

My biggest concern is a leaky tank. So far so good with the Submarine.. and it seems like the M1A1 has that covered as well.

Ah, that is awesome!!! Thanks a lot, N rustica! I think you did just save me the $20 extra I would have spent on a PCC! :toast:

The caps don't actually "screw on". I'm not technical so bare with me as I try to explain. You know how the sub has a rubber plug, then a red one, then another black one. The M1A1 has a metal cap first that narrows slightly and it extends into the tank. There is a black rubber plug (or o-ring?) around the metal part that is inside the tank that firmly holds the cap in place and forms the seal. It looks like I could pry the cap off but I wouldn't want to try to and mess it up. Plus at this point there is no need to. That is also why changing the carto is easier - everything stays in place and you just slip a carto in or out. I just didn't want to mislead you into thinking that the cap screws on and off. I do believe they sell replacement parts though if you needed to replace anything.

As for being indestructible.....I'm not going to test the theory but it does feel pretty solid.

@dragonbone - so sorry, we will now return to our regularly scheduled program!
