General consensus, carto tanks will be a staple for the foreseeable future. I also believe clearos will also have a spot.

It seems like RBA/RDA are becoming quite poplar, I have both as well as the carto tanks and clearos. Some people just like to tinker, others either don't want to, can't find the time, or see no reason to change what works. No one PV or delivery system is for everyone.

I would guess that those who rebuild are more likely to post their experience with their builds using different materials and methods. A replacement carto or head of the same type should perform about like the last one did when it was new. Not a whole lot of people are post that their replacement carto/head is working just like the last 4 did when they were new.

Is anybody still using carto tanks or does it seem like everybody is now moving on to rba? Is rba the future and cartomizers will have no home and be less attractive ?!

I think if you substituted Clearo for Carto your post might be accurate.

Altho carto tank users have much free time to be spending on RBA/RDA's.

Like any product, there will be fads and trends - eRolls are getting a lot of posts right now, they're not new, but Innokin my be pushing them. Kanger got a lot of discussion, because they also seemed to be pushing their gear to B&Ms and online - everyone has them. Smok seems to do the same thing. One of the more interesting things about vaping, is you can look at posts a year ago, and it was completely different - two years back, and everyone was in carto tanks or dripping attys. Push further back, and it's almost like a completely different thing was being discussed. And, you have to keep in mind, it all still works. Pen style are completely out of fashion, but lots of people still use them, and love them. Cartos have only gotten better, even though they're not gear of the moment like KayFun is. Dripping atty.'s have almost completely dropped off the radar due to RBAs.

Next month, it will probably be something else, new juice companies will come out, or different companies will get some heat, and the trends will shift again. It's a good thing! Options are awesome!

I have 2 low priced cartotanks... Have been thinking of getting something a little better, but seems as if cartos have a problem with 100% vg juices
I've heard this too ... but haven't experienced it. I use some mostly VG that is black and really thick in my slotted carto's with less issue than when attempted in other clearos. I just give 'em a good first prime and put them in a tank to soak for at least overnight but since I have plenty of tanks typically a day or more passes before putting them on a power source. Of course some juices simply clog things up faster than others and that thick black stuff destroys wicks faster then any other juice I've used ... but its oh so tasty :)

I used all kinds of various clearos. Last week I bought two little non-punched cartos, dripped in some e liquid, screwed it on my Vari, drip tip on top, and BAMMM! Now I'm completely hooked. It works great on a little 350mah ego style battery too. Best of all, its super small. Nice warm, tasty vape. Maybe I'll get one with a tank next, but so far, I haven't minded adding a few drops to it every so often.

I went to clearos for almost a year because of the consistently terrible experience I got for carto tanks...

Then I tried a good carto tank with a good carto.

The el cheapo bottom rung carto tanks don't seal well, and this causes gurgling and leaking, which was my primary experience...

The dual coil cartos bur very very easily, the top coil just doesn't get juiced like it should.

When I went Ibtanked with ikenvape inside, I went -THIS- is what I've been chasing!

Carto tank convert here, and it would have to be one hella impressive vape to make me stop!

I never understood how anyone could be satisfied by a carto in or out of a tank. Had to take long draws to get little vapor, flavor almost completely muted except for the dirty sock flavor of the filler. Keep upping the power trying to get a decent vape it would burn the filler. Why anybody is using carto's today is even more of a mystery. With Clearo's that are leaps and bounds better and no fiddle means they are perfect for newbies. Then you have rebuildable tanks like Kayfun's, carto's need to go to the grave yard. They sucked then, they suck now, and will suck in the future. A 510 atty with blue foam in the cart was a better vape and that is from the early day's of e-cigs.

With that said... if a piss poor vape keeps you off the analogs that is all that matters :laugh:

when I first started I used the old style cartos with no fill.. top coil and wicks. THOSE sucked, and not in a good way.

the fill cartos are much better in my experience, love them. leaps and bounds over blue foam, or any BCC I've used so far.

your description sounds of not priming all the way, hence the burn and not-decent vape.
