I'll give my carto tank experience but I won't insult you guys by claiming your setups are "piss poor" ;)

I used cartos in tanks for over a year and enjoyed the vape and ease of use. But after a while it seemed like I was having to replace them sooner and sooner. I guess I could taste the gunky coil. After a day or two I would feel the need to replace the carto. I got into rebuildables and am now able to keep my coils fresh without throwing anything away. I also got kinda bored and everyone was raving about genesis attys and so I went off in that direction.

Lots of people still enjoy using carto tanks, including my vape friend and that's great. I may revisit them sometime in the future. Maybe try to get ahold of some of those ikenvape cartos that I hear such good things about :)

I have went through the full evolution of vaping. Started with a cig alike and then ego batteries. I remember I would fill 3 or 4 cartos and carry them in my case. Then I discovered carto tanks and thought I died and gone to heaven! Each vape was like a freshly fill carto!

I do use clearomizers like the Protank and I have several of the Smoktech Pyrex Aro's but there are a few flavors that I have to use a carto tank with....and yes IBtanked is the only way to go!

I still use carto tanks. I like using the Killer 705 in a IBtank. I also use an Ikanvape carto in a BilletBox PV that has a rectangular carto tank built into the PV. Both of these setups give a good vape with the nod going to IBtank/killer 705 combo.
Having said that, most of the time I vape with RTA's (rebuildable tank atomizer) and RDA's.
I don't think carto tanks will be going away any time soon.

I use carto tanks at home, and eGo Mega cartos when I'm out.

I've tried several other things - CE type clearos, vivi novas, smaller cartos, dripping with a bridgeles atomizer, and, early on, 510's with atomizers & the little fiber-filled caps (can't remember what they're called at the moment). But so far the carto tanks (and Mega cartos) have provided the least fiddly, fussy, messy, and most consistent vape experience for me. Like someone said earlier, every draw through a carto tank is like using a freshly-filled carto.

I don't see myself getting into rebuildable stuff in the near future.

I've got that same comb and love it!

Lol I finally see how my setup is going to be the upcoming week. I just ordered the 22mm ibtanked and I got some boge 2.0 ohm standard coming with true flow drip tips and the deadlysin juce coming all this week. Am I doing this right guys? Or should I just get the kayfun plus lite?!?!

I'm a total rba/rda guy but from time to time i take out my good ol' boge carto tank, fill it up, and have a nice vape! It's just so consistent if done right the first time! I always credit Baditude to that because if it wasn't for his guides then I would've never been so satisfied with a vape from a cartotank!

As I follow da camel trails crossing da vaping deserts seeking another oasis, I always have my trusty carto tanks within reach.

It's truly humorous (and somewhat sad) to listen to da multitude of t-buds here raging their preferences and not appreciating that they're not da only ones on this planetary palate!

BTW, I'll let ya'll know what my t-buds think of da Sophia in 'bout a week. Meanwhile, rage on!

Iffy, you're one consistent poster and I love your lingo thing. I know it's you instantly.

Dude, if you're Jaimacan or Virgin Island based, I'll wrinkle my toes. If you're just south Floridian, I'll understand, too.

EDIT: I grew up on Ft. Myers Beach as a kid and I also lived in Ft. Myers and Cape Coral in my twenties.

Of course I still use cartotanks. I have over a dozen IBTanked pyrex cartotanks. They are pretty much all that I vape with. Best flavor production, best consistancy, dependable and maintanance free.

Gave most of last summer devoted to a couple of RBA tanks. Sometimes they were great, sometimes they weren't. Too inconsistant, undependable, too time-consuming, too fiddly (for me). Always went back to my dependable cartotanks.

I recently heard one of the salesman at my local B&M tell a potential new cartotank purchaser that they "sucked" and instead buy an Aspire bottom coil clearomizer because it was a "new technology", and that cartotanks were "old technology" which hadn't been upgraded in a couple of years. I felt personally offended by that statement, and it was all that I could do to keep my mouth shut. :glare: If it ain't broke, there's no need to fix it!

I look on with amusement at all the RBA/RDA owners at the vape shop. Sure, they're making impressive clouds of vapor, but that's not the kind of vaper I am. It seems every 2 - 3 days they are re-doing their coils or wicks. Really? It takes me 5 minutes to set up a new cartotank, and aside from juice refills it requires no maintanance for 2 - 3 weeks.

I never understood how anyone could be satisfied by a carto in or out of a tank.

my IBTanks set up with Smok 2 ohm cartos at 4.2v are very satisfying. my clearos with 1.8 ohm heads on standard 3.7v eGo's work just fine, no complaints. RDAs still rule my world but all of these are in regular rotation.

Relax (just keep your toes straight and step lightly, stingray shuffle, ya know)! I'm just a 4th gen Florida cracker raised in da Manatee River & Tampa Bay (well, except fer my bed and ed).

BTW, what in Hades are ya doin' up yonder, mon?

To stay on topic, as fer cartos, think I'm set fer Y3K!
