I got $2.68 extra charged to my account via paypal, after paying $89.36 for all the gear I ordered through tw. I called and they said that my card company was charging me for sending the money to the UK, and that it had nothing to do with them. I ordered off the US site. Its not a huge amount of money, just seems weird that I should be charged extra to buy from a company based in the UK. Luckily I had the money in my account too, or else I'd be super ....... Anyone else had this problem?

No just ordered from them bout an hour ago via paypal verified accout, but no odd charge on my account, checked my last 2 orders as well that were made within the last two weeks & not showing anything thats just wierd
I have placed 3 orders with them recently and just checked my paypal receipts and don't see anything like that. That doesn't seem right to me 
I'm guessing that the PayPal acount is set up and runs through the UK, I've ordered twice from TX in Florida, and both times got the "International Charges"... I was at least forwarned about it when I talked to them before ordering...
It was pulled out through paypal, but didn't receive any warning about it... TW should mention something during the ordering process. Between this and the post office losing packages I'm about to pull my hair out. Thanks for the replies guys!
That sounds a lot like an exchange rate situation.
Using VISA abroad will do that automatically and convert to US when you get your bill. Best guess as I've not gotten that in 2 orders via PayPal to TW using my VISA card.

Two orders with TW USA have resulted in a currency conversion (or something like that) fee.
I keep meaning to email them to question it.
I suspect that they're actually running the transactions thru their UK presence and not the USA presence.

I've ordered from TW US twice through Paypal. Paypal credit both times with no additional charge. I ordered something from Skype and something from Hong Kong via Paypal and my debit card about 3mnths ago and got charged international transaction fees by my bank both times which hadn't ever happened before despite multiple such transactions. That's what prompted the getting of Paypal credit since I don't leave money in there. So far so good.
I've also ordered via TW US twice in the past few months and not seen additional charges.
it must be a new paypal thing, b/c my dealextreme order had one of those charges on my bank CC stmt. Nothing showed at all on paypals site. The amount is only a few bucks and nothing to ..... about, but then again, it adds up to big bux a hit here and there for PP, so I should notify them and ask them what's up with that.
Actually, the extra charge is most likely a fee that your bank (or CC provider) charges for doing currency conversion. It has nothing to do with TW.
I've had issues like this ordering other products from overseas, and found that if I used different credit cards, the charge only showed up on ones backed by certain banks.
You can call your bank or CC company to verify.

It's a TW thing if they run the transaction thru a UK bank and not a US bank. TW is not getting anything from it, it's the cost to the bank for converting from one currency to another.
Ordered from TW USA because I wasn't wanting any extra crazy charges or weird custom issues that come from ordering from another country. Tw should really have a bank in the us, then wire over the money to the UK on their own dime.
