Anyone else have problems w/ 801 USB passthrough?

I bought my dse801 manual passthrough from myvaporstore.com, and I can't seem to get good vapor from it, to save my life, I mean, I get excellent vapor from it on my battery, and as soon as I switch to the PT, the vapor amount drops considerably,:-x Once in a while, I'll get a good hit, but I usually get frustrated with it and just go back to the battery.

Not to mention, it only works part of the time, for some reason, I tried different ports, same issue.

Just curious if anyone else has had this happen with theirs,

Also, wondering if maybe a Kesington would solve this, if anyone knows, I hate to buy it only to have the same issue.

I had a lot of problems with mine at first-it was even sticking on somehow-but its been working like a dream lately for some reason.
When I was having the probs I even tried it thru my ipod usb wall thingy-so it wasn't going thru the pc, and still having problems, but now its working fine even when i use it with the pc or the usb wall plug. I don't know why.

Unless the PT itself is defective, it sounds like an electrical issue to me -- electrical, as in, the atomizer making solid contact with the voltage pick-up on the PT. Is the atomizer you're using a true 801 or a 4072? The m201 atty will not work properly with an 801 connection, ditto the Janty Kissbox atty.

That aside, try cleaning the PT's contact points and threads with rubbing alcohol and take a close look at those contact points to make sure they are mating.

PTs seem to have about the worst quality control of all e-cig related items, unfortunately. You may have gotten a bad one.

i have had my passthrough for 6 months and it actually works better than any of my batteries i plan on buying more to stock up on...and get a battery pack i get waaay more vape from mine...love these guys!

Where did you buy your 801 PT?, if you don't mind me asking Mss5366

A friend of mine just got some new atomizers. They won't work with his 801 passthrough. Seems to be a battery connection issue. All of his older atomizers work fine with this manual sealed passthrough. The passthrough cuts off (lights up) and won't give a consistant hit. All very similar to your issues. The atomizers causing the issue are a low bridge 4 hole flow design (801 style) but he is unsure who manufactures them, and they for sure aren't DSE801 (would have a SLB marking with numbers on the atty).

I've had a USB hub go wonky... that could be the issue (your power source). Try an iPod usb wall plug. If you determine it isn't the power source, try some new atomizers (DSE if that isn't what you are using now) or perhaps the staple modification between the PT and Atomizer to improve connection?

Actually, my 801 DOES say SLB on it, however, thanks for the tip, I'll try a wall usb and see if I can narrow it down atleast :)
