I do, after three months of vaping. On cigs I never had this problem in the 12 years I smoked. Vaping 3 months and now I am having trouble breathing. The first few months were fine, symptoms just started last week. I am getting a lung function test done next week.
Anyone else have this issue??
The last couple of weeks I've again been experiencing SOB, after more than a year on ecigs and after starting D3 (about 6,000IU's and Omega-3's, (about 1700IU's) the whole bit.
But, in all honesty, I've always been very sensitive in the spring summer and fall with dust pollen and especially corn dust. (When I was little I had to stay out of the chicken house.)
When I quit smoking, my lung function was nearly zero. I could do nothing except wheeze and gurgle, morning noon and night. After about 6 weeks on the ecig and with lots of deep breathing exercise my function finally was amazingly better. Now again....my dentist looked at an x-ray a couple weeks ago and said I have a sinus thing going on (the 'white' line) and sure enough I had the first "cold" ever since I started vaping, or could be just an irritated sinus thing, it's now two weeks old, which would not be a 'normal' cold.
BUT I can now work through my SOB, where before I had to just stop and rest before I could get my breath. So it could be that you also have some 'allergy' reactions going on. My case, it's not nearly as bad as other years, just very uncomfortable, I refuse to take antihistamines, or decongestants, because those always worked against me. I feel better without them.
So I also am just kind of working through this to see where it goes, even though I feel like I'm puffing a lot, I really do still have almost full lung function.
Another piece of advice,
do drink copious amounts of
water. The better hydrated your lung and throat tissues the better they can move phlegm and fight infections. VG and PG would not easily allow mold to grow, they are antibacterial and a good mold fighter. That's why they use it in tobacco cigarettes, they are a humectant used for mold control by keeping moisture away from the tobacco. But I also had to stop using PG, it was really irritating my lungs and throat. VG hasn't been a problem unless I just overdo.
ALSO: there was an alert a couple weeks ago about a 'mold bloom' going on in the western states (eleven states reported). This is a very common thing, I know two people who have
died from complications of mold here locally, in the upper midwest. One a neighbor down the road, on their horse farm, his developed colonies inside (in the marrow) of his facial bones! It took years to diagnose, it was so rare. The other a fellow upholsterer who had lesions in his brain attributed to a past mold infection (also un-diagnosed at the time). So if you're at all worried a good check up would be in order, and
tell them your concerns so they can do specific testing.
