Not expierenced SOB

over 2 months smoke free
First month tiredness and withdrawal symptoms but w/ nic reduction no surprises there.

I went DIY with juice. I knew many flavors contained dye sold by both China and US.
Can't imagine dye into your lungs can be good in any amount. Plenty flavor choices without dyes.

!st month vaped 24 mg regularly. Now seldom..usually 0 to 6 mg. I just vapedd a 18MG phelm present now no vg in juice. Did not encounter this in month one with the exact same juice. OUR bodies are remarkable systems. I wonder if my system is flooding me with mucous now to reduce the absorption of the higher nic.

Can you or someone reading name a brand or two of flavorings that offer dye, oil, sugar etc.-free varieties? (Sorry to ask but having sucky connection issues, and also feeling especially crispy atm from forum overload. ;) No self-discipline at all lately I tell ya, none.) Have bulk unflavored around and intend to actually start using it soon, woo hoo! Definitely want to try the additives elimination approach, as a general best-practices thing.

Interesting thread - Not a single part of me wants to consider that vaping could e "bad" for you... but I suppose it's possible...

I want to echo the sentiments of some of the other posters...

During periods where I had to go several hours without a cigarette - or even when I switched brands... I experienced a very noticeable shortness of breath. Not sure if shortness of breath alone is worth freaking yourselves out over... worth keeping an eye on certainly...

Thyroid issues? very interesting...

Fatigue? Again, many causes... I would expect fatigue to be somewhat normal for a short time... but I wouldn't expect it to persist more than a month or two, and I wouldn't expect it to be severe...
Those suspect chemicals in analogues? Seasonal affective disorder? I have chronic mononucleosis - so I likely won't hit a sensitivity threshold on this. I would suggest NONI Juice... sure, it's mostly sold through MLM'a... but it really helped me get back on my feet.

I just had two friends diagnosed with this as well...

from: http://ezinearticles.com/?Living-Wi...ein-Barr-Virus-Or-Glandular-Fever)&id=2287634

The Epstein Barr virus that causes mononucleosis or glandular fever, has the ability to establish a lifelong presence in the body. In the majority of people a healthy immune system keeps mononucleosis in check. However some people get recurrent or chronic mononucleosis for weeks, months or years after the initial infection.

Chronic mononucleosis symptoms typically include fatigue, weakness, sore throat and swollen lymph glands. These symptoms can fluctuate from day to day, and week to week. Periods of feeling well are often followed by a relapse, as people try to resume normal activities or exercise.

Been analog free for 5 months. I vape 36mg never really had any problems.
I woke the other day with cold of some sort. I couldn't vape to well made me cough. The first day I'm feeling like crap so no vaping. I started having SOB and I freak making things worst. Now I'm convinced not to even try vaping so I down some Vodka which helped for a short period.
I searched google and got my panic attack under control some what by not fearing the SOB. Not vaping and drinking tons of water with some booze. Finally I ran across this info
Shortness of breath after stopping smoking >> Medical Questions, Weight Loss, Pregnancy, Drugs, Health Insurance

After reading through that linked thread I figure I need some nicotine.
By not having any nicotine for 3 days my body is super freaking shortness of breath some wheezing panic city. I have a collections of Tobacco pipes and a few old tins of some really heavy tobacco.
I open a tin and load a pipe get it lite and puff away in a matter of moments I'm fine!!
It was freakin amazing to go from, I'm about to take a trip to the Hospital to like nothing is wrong. :D
This just happen to me the last couple of days.

I am curious about that as well. I have looked and asked but so far haven't gotten any specific answers.

I regret to say that I'm going to have to join this growing list of people with similiar symptoms.

No analogs for over 4 months, no problems until a few weeks ago. What started as a " cold' turned into pneumonia which i've been fighting for two weeks. On my 2nd round of antibiotics now...doctor changed me over to a bacterial infection antibiotic instead of the first round. Doctor also gave me an inhaler which im now using daily.

Reading this thread and reading the article that was posted a few posts up ( the link) now has me thinking it's definately due to quitting analogs and maybe this is just my lungs trying to recover...or maybe it's something im using to vape. Lord..i use everything..i vape vg & pg, i use cartomizers too...I dont even know how to begin to narrow that down.

Anyways..just wanted to throw myself into the mix..hopefully this can all be figured out someway.

Wanted to add...both of my sides are so sore from coughing..i feel like ive pulled or strained all of the muscles above my stomach on both sides of my body. Does anyone else have pain there ?

When I had pneumonia, my stomach muscles and ribs hurt like hell from coughing. Hang in there, Girl!!!

From all the reading I have done, our lungs go through a huge process while healing. SOB is one of them and can happen any time. If the lung tests people are having done are showing positive changes, then I figure these symptoms are all part of the healing process....jmho

I don't think you will find many who didn't smoke before they vaped. That's really the idea behind vaping, to use as an alternative to smoking.

I understand that, being a former 25 year smoker myself.;)

I have seen a few vapor reviewers that look like they are 16 YO! Just saying....

I encountered what you mentioned above 2 times during since vaping. 1st time within the 1st month after vaping and the 2nd time at the 3rd month after vaping. Initially I thought it was due to the "toxins" inside the e-liquid however after visiting this forum, I realised it was the usual lungs-cleansing process. Different people react differently. For me, both times were so bad that I was bed-ridden for almost 4/5 days. After each time upon recovery, my craving for nicotine dropped drastically. In-fact, I am now not only analog-free, I am also e-cig-free. I used to smoke 22 years at 15-20 sticks a day.

Thanks Trader for that posting. After being on the bacterial antibiotics for a few days..i am much better. I'm still vaping, just not as much...so i honestly don't think that was the reason to begin with.

Just wanted to update my symptoms and I do hope everyone else who has had problems is recovering.

This will probably sound odd but I have wondered. Steam causes mold. Vapor is steam. Does any one think it is possible we are growing mold in our lungs? I know our lungs are moist to begin with but I have wondered if that is possible. Now............stop laughing.

That's certainly a scary thought...not laughable at all. I would love to hear what others think...

At most, even with heavy vaping we probably never inhale more than 5 - 10 mls during a twenty four hour period. Most of us probably inhale less than 5 mls.

Ever seen how much vapor we are exhaling on a cold day, even without e-cigs? I doubt the amount of vapor we inhale is any more than an average shower. Or maybe I'm just rationalising away the thought of having mould in my lungs - what a scary thought. :(
