My sinuses haven't cleared up to my liking. Then again my bedroom isn't totally insulated. My old migraines are gone and total blockage of my nasal passages is cleared. I'm still trying to figure out what is causing the current continued blockage. I blow and no clearing. Could be I'm a mile high and need to "pop" my sinuses somehow... Can't be in a hot shower more that 15 minutes, that's very wasteful...

Try using a sinus rinse kit (ie: Neilmed)

Ya'll are correct. I was commenting to Mrs. Kodiak that this was the first Winter I could remember going through without so much as a cold.

But shhhhhhh.... don't tell the pharmaceutical folks. :)

Yeah their cough medicine sales are dropping;
but hey, one day they'll wise up and start mixing ejuice.

I usually get a couple of rip roaring sinus infections and every time I have had bronchitis in the last 10 years it has gone straight to pneumonia withing 24 hrs of the first deep chest cough. This past winter I was semi sidelined for about 4 days. Some extra rest and a few advil was all it took to kill it.

The Propylene Glycol more than likely has something to do with it.
.

Doubtful in my case since I vape pg free e-liquids due to allergy. I hardly ever got sick before I became a smoker so, for me, it probably has less to do with vaping and more likely because I quit smoking.

I don't get sick that much, but I've noticed I have better respiratory health which leads to less colds. Biggest health benefit for me has been my teeth and gums. For the first few months of vaping my teeth and gums got worse, but that was because all the ills of 20 years of smoking bubbled to the surface. I started taking care of my teeth and gums better, got a deep cleaning, and now I have the gum line of a non-smoker.

Winning?

For me sadly, it seems my stomach remains more upset since I started vaping, maybe I am not able to get accustomed to the new form of nicotine delivery.......
Is it possible you are eating the vape? :p

what is your avatar? i end up staring deep into it's eyes every few days and still cant figure out what the hell im looking at
It is a copper pot atop a desktop CPU, for extreme cooling required for extreme overclocking, the white thing is condensation and then freezing of moisture in air due to the low temperature of the LN2.

Banik, you should probably have an explanation of your avatar in your signature, as it seems to be getting much attention.

I'd like to think that the PG has a lot to do with germ killing, but it's not likely. There is a lot of bacteria in your mouth, and most of it good. If you kill it, you have problems like thrush mouth (very common side effect from taking antibiotics). I'm guessing that the smoking cessation is the major reason for not being sick as much.

Hello razor.

I suffered terribly with colds, blocked nose, congestion in chest and cough when I was a smoker. This soon cleared up after I took up the e-cig and now been happily vaping for 14 months and smoke free after a 33 year habit.
My lungs are still recovering (borderline positive to legionaire's disease 10 years ago left shadowing on my lungs) but at least it is healing.. but its gonna take time.

Koala hugs from Australia.

Is it possible your nicotine level is too high? What nicotine mg are you at now?

I ask this because when I first started vaping, I used 24mg nicotine and had problems with nausea and dizziness. I cut it down to 18mg and those symptoms went away.

For those suffering from allergies, Google local honey and add your zip code to the end. If you can find someone close by, taking a teaspoon every day has worked wonders for me in that regard.

Its pretty well documented with a lot of anecdotal evidence (much like vaping). It works on the hair-of-the-dog-that-bit-you theory in that honey thats made near you contains miniscule amounts of the pollen thats affecting you.

This is a secret. The pharmaceutical industry would really take a hit if it leaked out!! The reason it is effective is the trace particles of pollen specific to the area you live in. Taking some every day throughout the year builds up your resistance so when that pollen comes into season, you don't react to it.

Beekeepers have known this for years. They even treat themselves with miniscule amounts of bee venom to minimize reaction to stings.
