Anyone else preparing for the end??

At some level, Nicotine will always be available; it's considered an effective organic pesticide, and with the size and financial viability of the Organic Foods groundswell they have the lobbying horsepower to keep purified nicotine on the market. Politics making strange bedfellows, as it does, will probably see the Vaper Community, Organic Farmers with their distribution channels, and Big tobacco standing on one side, and poorly educated politicians with itchy palms on the other. Unfortunately, while Big Tobacco's dollars will help in the fight, their presence kind of muddies the water.

While regulating the vaping industry as a whole looks to be almost inevitable (there's a lot of tax revenue in our community that the Fed would really like to get their hands on, and let's face it, we're all packing unregulated, high-powered electrical devices in our pockets) I don't think any of the constituent parts will be hard to find. Pre-prepared e-liquids and mechanical mods are probably in some danger, however- regulation means testing, safety features, electronic standards, blah blah blah so in truth I'm more concerned about stockpiling hardware.

I'm not worried about "the end". I was a hand roller when the feds upped my tax over 1000%. $15 of tobacco then went for $35-40.

I'm hoping there will be a HUGE fight if the Feds try to tax me now. Their reasoning for taxing my old, deadly, tobacco was to make me quit (for health). I have. Are they going to chase their revenue stream? If they do, they will be fundamentally in the wrong. People will fight.

I'm getting my health and money back after being chained to tobacco for so long (4 months smoke free after 30+ years).

If they up taxes, they are pure hypocrites and should start dealing H so they can feed off societies addiction, for profit.

Such a smart idea to diy

I wish I could come up with a good tasting DIY that can be bought from local stores. I can get the VG and the PG with no problem but the only flavoring I can find in local shops are those crappy Lorann flavorings. Those are severely disgusting, especially the Butter Rum....vomits.

That woman got 23 billion from a BT lawsuit although I doubt she will ever get anything close to that. It made me wonder if I can sue the FDA eventually for denying me a safer and affordable alternative to smoking....

That is something people don't understand about lawsuits. Getting a judgement does not mean you will ever get paid, in your lifetime.

Oftentimes you have to be willing to give up a decade or 2 of your life, and in many cases, there are periods when your lawsuit becomes almost a full time job. Plan on taking many days off from work to attend depositions, etc. and often out of town. People have used up all their vacation time and are having to do these things unpaid.

I will venture that most vapers have lives, jobs and families, and while they say they are committed to "their cause" I will realistically offer that you'd be suprised how few would be left standing at toward the end of a lawsuit. Life gets in the way, and the entire thing becomes very stressful.

As a matter of fact, I've seen lives destroyed, marriages fall apart, etc. all in the course of people involved in lawsuits, on both sides.

It's all very easy to shout "sue sue sue" in a litigous society........but the reality is very different. ;)

It's usually the ones who are most vociferous about bringing a suit who drop out first. It requires a lot of energy, toil and attention that they didn't count on, and not just weeks or months, but oftentimes, years of it.

My method works great for me: I mix 40 or 50% store bought juices that I like. I then make the other 50 or 60% juice with similar
flavors & same Nic amount, and then mix them together. That way I stretch out the flavors that I know I like.

I have stocked up on Nic & stuff also - just in case.

I rolled my own analogs also. It only costed me about $1 a day plus worse health to smoke.:vapor:

And don't forget money... The only lawyers that work for free are public defenders, and they only work on criminal cases, and only to gain experience before applying to some white-shoe law firm (and their lack of experience usually means they aren't worth spit). "Pro bono" is mostly a figment of books and TV.

I heard they bury lawyers 12ft down instead of 6ft. Deep down they're good people.

I think lawyers are a perfect example of "necessary evil." Like buzzards, and ants... SOMEBODY has to clean up the mess that no one else wants to look at! :D
