When I started vaping (about three months ago) my whole idea was to stop smoking, and I've never really been interested in whether I stopped using nic or not. But I've cut way back without that being a goal, it's just how it happened. I started at 18 nic, but within a few weeks I was finding it just too strong (headaches, queasyness, and all that) so I've been vaping 11 nic for a couple months. But I just got a new juice order today so I've been vaping like hell for hours and I'm realizing that I need to lay in a little supply of 6 mg for times when I'm vaping heavy. Ironically, once I stopped smoking to get nicotine, I found that the nicotine actually effects me more powerfully! :) I'm not particularly interested in getting to zero nic, but I'll reduce it as necessary to be able to keep vaping and feeling good.

I'm 65 years young and want to ward of Alzheimers. So no, I will continue to vape 15mg to wards off Alzheimers. Besides, the nic helps in warding off Alzhiemers. Also, since I'm 65 years young... what dear? Nawh, just vaping 15 mg so I won't forget to post 'bout your new PV. What... oh yeah, that's right, you never smoked and don't vape. Is that my new PV?

You may call your PV a "fake ciggy" if it pleases you. I don't know anyone else who does though. It's not a cigarette, it's not a fake cigarette, it doesn't even slightly resemble a cigarette, it doesn't taste like a cigarette, it doesn't present a fire hazard ... well, you should get the point. Not a fake ciggy. It's better than a cigarette. Thank you.

i will thank you to read the entire post before replying next time

All those vegetables you listed have nicotine in them? Is it just a tiny amount?

A lot less than the tobacco plant, and the body absorbs the nicotine in food a lot differently when digested rather than through inhalation and mucus absorption. One of the studies I read a while back said that a person would need to consume 10 grams of cooked eggplant to equal the nicotine they'd absorb through second hand smoke if they were in a room (forgot the size of the room) with a smoker for an hour. - Perspective on that is two things: First, the average restaurant serving of eggplant parmesan has about 30 grams of eggplant, so the nicotine exposure involving eggplant is both significant and measurable if you consume that meal. And the other item is that the study rightly pointed out that nicotine is water soluble so testing cooked vegetables skewed their results as far as actual content in each vegetable they tested. Eggplant and green tomatoes contain relatively significant amounts of nicotine... but again, far less than the tobacco plant, and both are not very likely to be eaten raw so the person consuming them isn't actually going to ingest as much nicotine as those veggies contain.

The big question though is, if you can live with 0 nic, then why vape in the first place? Personally I always got satisfaction from blowing smoke...also some flavors are quiet good and reduce my craving for sweets, but on the other hand many people here care more about quiting or enjoy nicotine anyway, so people either quit vaping after a while or stay at 6 mg or lower. The ones who exclusively vape at 0 nicotine are a rare group...since, at the end of the day, most people are into smoking/vaping for the satisfying addicting chemical component, even if they enjoy the other things that come along with it...

Short answer, i think it is very possible to go 0 nicotine, but pointless to most people since they either quit completely or keep taking a minimum amouny of nicotine for the satisfaction it gives even with the absence of the addiction.

I don't think its pointless to vape at 0 nicotine. Nicotine is low down the list of reasons I vape (honest:sleep:). They are ,I like the effect of inhaling something that isn't air, I like the flavours,I like the hand to mouth and holding the PV,I like the mouth/throat hit, there could be more I haven't thought of. The only reason I use nicotine is for the throat hit, I use 0mg sometimes but the effect is getting near to flavored air.
Does anyone know of any alternative ways to get TH without using nicotine?

some flavors of 100% VG give way too much TH,and i am not talking about cinnamon, mint or menthol flavors
Do you know what those flavours were?
I've tried mixing 100%VG but found it very soft. I now mix 50PG-50VG when going 0 Nicotine as it gives a bit more body.
Having said this I actually like a soft throat hit sometimes as it adds variety to the vaping.

i meant the part about what i had quoted ,,comon now ..really

Have fun. I'm closing in on three years smoke free and have no need to delude myself that I'm doing anything other than feeding my addiction with a less harmful alternative. It's not an electronic cigarette. It's better.
