ccure,

That wick-burning taste is probably one of the reasons for the practice of topping-off one's cartridges (a practice that, done in a timely fashion, keeps the wick moist). Nevertheless, one can only top-off a refillable cartridge - like the Nebula's.

That's not true.
It very easy top of the cart of the disposable cart/atomizer.
Just take of the little plastic top, add a few drops, put the little plastic top back on, and it's ready to go.

I've ben using the same "disposable" cart/automizer for a solid week now.
Without any problems.
Not a bad deal, the same cart and atomizer for about 3 bucks for a week and counting.

PhiHalcyon have you had a chance to test this out with the Nebula?

sannake/Peaches,

I did not say that any particular disposable atomizer/cartridge available on the market is unrefillable. I just said that a cartridge needs to be refillable in order to be able to top it off on occasion. If the disposable atomizer/cartridge that ccure uses is refillable, then he now knows how to avoid the burnt-wick taste.

sannake,

Getting a whole week of full-time use out of a disposable vaporizing cartridge (at a cost of $3 each) would be mighty fine with me - and is, in fact, the height of my hopeful expectations with the Nebula cartridges. Only time and use will tell.

Of course, atomizer life-span is only part of the story when comparing disposable refillable vaporizing cartridges. There is also the steepness of the slope of atomizer performance degradation (or the duration of peak to near-peak performance), the volume of vapor production, the easiness of draw, the efficiency of e-juice utilization, and the reliability of e-juice delivery to the atomizer.

Ben - will these atomisers work with DSE901 (hence making it compatible w screwdriver) w/o any mods/drilling? If this is the case... then H O L Y S H I T! You already know I buy my juice from you, sounds like it will be a one stop shop for all.

I don't see why not.. screwdriver=DSE901 male/battery thread and the cartomizers will screw right onto that.. good thinking, that'll be something else!

Nebula and Vk are the same. Anyone have the VK and a DSE battery? If so, can you do a simple mod of putting a notch on your VK cartridges and testing to see if it works on the 901 battery? You can put the notch near the band area using a file. Thanks.

I'm gonna try some experiments and get back to you guys about the mods.. Will work on this soon..Maybe tommorow after the St. Pete Grand Prix :D

Sorry to resurrect the dead but.....ever wonder where the term 'cartomizer' originated? Posts 27 and 28, right here!

Whenever i get some of these cartomizers i'll sure look at one to see if it is possible to make it work with a 901 batt, although i doubt it is. I'm planning to use these on a usb mod i made using a 901 connection and a manual switch.

cartomizer..You heard it here first. I might even trademark that... ^__^

Ben

Maybe you should have, Ben!

Don't know what made me recall that, but just thought I'd share :)

Lol..thanks for dropping by LU, nice to see ya :D

I checked into it but it seems it had quickly become genericized and would be difficult to keep proprietary and trade-markable..Band-Aid ("Band-Aid Brand Bandages"), Legos, Rollerblade and Kleenex are a few that come to mind that had to invest heavily to protect their trademarks and as a little company I just don't have the resources or time. Glad it caught on as I was tired of saying "disposable atomizer cartridges" 20 times a day... ;)
