Oh Yes!! I forgot about that. Oh, everyone is soooo proud of me. That makes me want to throw up(sorry) it just does.

Yep, I hated that it had total control over me.....yet I do wonder if all my batteries went down and would not work--just what would I do..the answer to that tells me that maybe I am not in control of this either, LOL.

Don't think about it!

In a perfect world I wouldn't be addicted to anything- like that's going to happen. Try to take my coffee and see what happens. I can live with being addicted to nicotine. Plus, I don't think the addiction is anything compared to cigarettes. I've gone all day without vaping and I was a heavy smoker and vape pretty high mg. nicotine.

All over the place
What you've got to remember is: there is no pressure on you to be a vape master, "vapeaholic", juice connosieur, reviewer, blogger or just generally in love with vaping. It is like anything else really, it takes time. I don't remember falling in love with drinking or smoking for quite some time after doing it incessantly. Not saying you should do it until you do, but don't force anything, I mean anything on yourself. I was an on-again-off-again vaper with smoking filling in the gaps for the first year. Until one day I crossed a line that told me I was done with being a smoker. Even after that line was crossed I've tried a cigarette or two just to see, but it was like seeing an ex from years back and wondering what ever possesed you to date that person.

As far as how you feel...well, vaping by itelf isn't going to necessarilly make you feel better. But, the research, hunting, experimenting and the over-all hobby aspect of it can start to take on a life of its own that creates a new facet to your life that is more than just filling a void.:2c:

p.s. I didn't necessarily feel "bad" when I was a smoker, but now I feel, well...fresher!? Yeah, I feel fresh!

I think it will kick in for you, It was at a couple months for me that I felt 10 yrs younger. I was feeling pretty crappy before I quit, my lungs were hurting, I just felt ill. So when I quit I felt a big difference. I just started doing Tai Chi and hoping that makes me feel even better! LOL bnrk

The vaping is very good in complex with eating healthier food.. The usual supermarket and fast food stuff is much worse than tobacco..

I agree that lousy chemical/processed foods is worse than smoking for making anyone feel bad, just stopping or reducing smoking is not enough for me. I started going to the gym twice a week a couple months before I started vaping, so am kind of fortunate to have had that headstart. I'm also drinking more wild herbal infusions like dandelion and nettles, and don't drink alcohol, it makes me depressed. Developing a deep compassion for myself and others is something I've been working steadily on for a few years now. Like enjoying a nourishing food and drink, I try to also enjoy music, dancing and good conversations everyday.

Some in this modern society put a shame and guilt complex on anyone being "addicted" to whatever is pleasurable to a brain, I reject this weird medieval puritanism whenever I see it, hear it or feel it.

Bliss must be chased. Don't worry, it'll let you catch it eventually.

Tacoma Wa,
Id have to say i can breath normal again. I have always had very large lungs and could always breath deep, even when i smoked.
But now if i breath slow and normal it takes like 10 or 11 seconds to go in and out. it freaks me out sometimes being i was used to a shallow pattern when i smoked.

I feel and look alot younger now that i have been vaping almost 9 months.
BUT... when i smoked..I could run without getting winded.
I was racing with my 7 year old the other day at the park, and after our quick race i felt whoozy and out of breath for a couple mins.
And i tried it a couple other times and have the same results.
I just had a physical and was told i was in perfect health, they didn't even ask if i smoked. :)

In Vaping, I've ralized there is no One-Experience-Fits-All. That said, here's mine.

I was a pack-a-day smoker (Marlboro, Marlboro Lights) for 55 years. For the past 10 years, I had persistent cough, shortness of breath when I exercised, lungs filling with fluid when I lay down at night to sleep, and a chest X-Ray two years ago that revealed a thickening of the top walls of my lungs. "Typical for a longtime smoker", I was told.

Was I in any immediate danger? No. But I couldn't deny that cigarette smoking would eventually kill me.

All of the above should have been sufficient motivation to quit, right? Nope. Then last fall, I met a woman and fell in love. That did it. I switched to Vaping on January 7 of this year. I cannot tell you how delighted the both of us are with my decision. She told me there were days last Winter when she thought: "He looks terrible. Grey. Is he going to be with us much longer?"

Two weeks after I started Vaping, my body began to detoxify. The coughing stopped. The color in my face returned. Lung capacity increased. Senses of smell and taste returned. Halleluiah.

Still craved analogs (one or two a day), though, and wondered why. Turns out that there are non-nicotine compounds/alkaloids created in the burning of tobacco that are psychoactive -- and part of the reason many of us started smoking in the first place.

If you're not satisfied with the the Vaping experience, you'll want to read this thread.

Good stuff in here. I really like N rustica's "bliss must be chased".

I felt mentally on top of the world when I started vaping w/ the right kit a few months ago. I knew after the first draw that I was done w/ cigs and I was thrilled about it. I never really wanted to give up the nicotine but was really hating my dependency on the smokes.
Within the first few days, I noticed my energy level increased. When I would have that wake up smoke w/ my coffee, I would always notice the downward effect it had on my energy so not having that w/ the vaping made me even happier. This was the biggest thing for me as I work 3rd shift and have a problem w/ my energy anyway.
I have to wonder how much my mental attitude helped in the way I felt, too.
I don't find my breathing is that much better which is disappointing although I know plenty of breathing exercises I could practice and do from time to time, it's not enough to break the old habit of shallow breathing. I'll get there, tho.

Like others have said, the new sense of smell isn't always good and s/times I wish I had a 'smokers nose' again. Like when I walking across the parking lot where they put down the cheap 'mulch' and it's been baking in the sun after a morning rain. Ugh. Or wet dog smell... kill me now. lol

Overall I am very happy w/ vaping, and so are my kids and the rest of my family. I drink a helluva lot more water too, and that helps stall out an unnecessary appetite.

The best part... well, other than what's already been mentioned.... is that there are so many flavors and mods I have to look forward to trying. I hope there is never a day when I know or have experienced it all.

Well, I love vaping. I already have tons of little bottles and have upgraded once. I just have been worried because physically I really can't tell any difference.I had kept seeing all these posts that were just running ozing with how they felt better right away. From what I am seeing on this thread everyone is different and I may or may not feel a lot better. I didn't really feed bad when I began vaping.

Well, we grow and sell organic vegetables so I have that one down. I do exercise regular. I do not drink alcohol. I drink tons of green and herbal teas. I think that the people in my immediate circle that always wanted me to quit smoking keep pointing out that this is a "starting point". For me this is the finishing point. It is very frustating that whatever I do is never good enough for the masses.

I am loving that you are the second person that says I could look younger. That is a very positive thing! Amazing that they didn't ask if you smoked!

Yes, I found out after vaping for a week or two that there was much more in that cigarette than nicotine. There were days when I cried several times a day. I talked to someone that actually told me about the anti depressants in the tobacco. It makes sense that there are also psychoactive chemicals also.

BTW, tried your link--it didn't work

It took about 4 months for me not to crave an analog then all of a sudden nothing could force me back to them. I say stay away from the wta juice until you have actually tried your best and not succeed since the risks are higher with wta's

You could see improvements after a few weeks,I guess most toxins we ingested daily takes a while to get out once stopped,I also think some might take a lot longer;

I find it nearly impossible to be back to pre-smoking lungs capacity after even 1 year though;maybe 5,perhaps 10.

Specially for the 30yrs+ 2ppd ex-smokers.

keep your hopes up,stay on the program!
