Anyone out there that can't stand flavored juice?

I think I may just try the different flavors of menthols. I don't want to run into wintergreen though. That makes me nauseous. I bought caramel thinking that I love that. I can't stand it though, it tastes burnt no matter what I do. Now I'm trying one of those samples, apple cinnamon, and it ends up tasting like apple cider. It smells like apple cinnamon. I think it really does have to do with my sensory issues. I'm just too sensitive with tastes. The straight menthol is best. I guess I just need to go back to that. I hate the idea that I wasted my money on these other liquids and I need to pour them out of my clearomizers and drain them. :(

Yup, like a few people have said, finding flavored juice that you like can be hard, even if someone is not as sensitive to smell as you are. It wasn't hard for me. I found maybe a 50% success rate.

Now I mix my own juice. What you might try is to buy nicotine base and add flavorings. You can buy them from a lot of vaping shops. This way you can just add a little flavor and see how it goes. Mix small amounts to start with so you don't risk too much nic base. Mixing single flavor juice is easy, it only involves one variable, the amount of flavor. The more flavors you add to one juice, the more complex the process becomes.

Or, just stick with the menthol :thumb:

Say what??? ahahahaha, I can't imagine being turned off by tasting e juice as that is the part that I love the most about it ... At the same time, I don't think there is anything wrong with just vaping Menthol minus any other flavor. In fact, my very first e juice was Menthol, and I didn't even smoke menthol cigarettes. I actually liked the menthol although I don't vape it anymore.

Also, the problem may simply be the ejuice vendor you used ... I know from experience that there is plenty of nasty tasting juice out there, and finding the right vendor and e juice is a part of the journey that we have ALL gone through. I DIY all my own juice because I know what I like, and how I like it.

Take advantage of the forum and go to the ejuice discussion section and look for vendors that are known for making light tasting juices ... or just stick with Menthol :)

Yep. That's me. It's OK really. I went through all the flavors. They are nasty and stink up my house. I did menthol crystals for awhile. I bought flavor concentrates for DIY... Now I just buy my nic from Wizard Labs, my PG from my local pharmacy and cut it myself. If I want VG I buy it local.
It's more about hand to mouth for me.
Who really believes analogs tasted good anyway?? I've tried them again a couple of times and they are nasty too.
Don't think you have to love the syrupy flavors just because that is what the vendors are trying to sell you. I have dozens of bottles of flavored juices that I bought or got as freebies. I don't use them. And don't waste your money cutting corners on PG at a farm store. The gallon I bought had a real nasty chemical odor to it. Not worth the savings for the amount you will use. A half liter bottle of PG costs me $10 at the pharmacy. I order it and pick it up the next day. Find what works for you.
Best of luck!

The first step IMHO is understand and accept that any e-eliqud can't reproduce the taste and the smell of cigarette.
Your best bet is vape like @ZOMBIE!!! with no flavor, try for some days, after move on and start trying other flavors, i mean not just menthol.
One you found one that you like don't stick with it, keep exploring, so at the end you have 4/5 flavors that you enjoy, in this way you will never get annoyed/disgusted by your favorite flavors.
Hope this helps.
Good luck!

Im having the same issues... my sense of smell and taste have come back with a vengeance in the past week or so. I just get tired of the flavors quick! I keep several tanks with different flavors around all the time and that helps. I havent tried unflavored but may have to give it a go. Ive been slipping the past few days because Ive had a rotten cold. I dont know why but colds always triggered chain smoking for me. The analogs still taste like crap but I still find myself lighting one up now and then. My wife always questions me if she's around. I think my next juice purchase I'll go back to 24mg. Just not getting total satisfaction....

Often, it's just a matter of time, especially if you smoked many years. Not always about nic quantity or flavors or even equipment. I think it might even be better for your body to taper off than cold turkey.

Where did you get your juice from? What Ratio and mg of nicotine did you get ? These can all change the taste of the liquid and not all vendors are the same. I would not base your taste on one vendors juice.

The first ones I got were VG, 24mg menthol and an 11ng strawberry from a local ecig shop that I bought all my starting stuff from. It turns out that all of his stuff is labeled as "eGo-C" but it isn't Joyetech. I have no clue where his liquid is from as is labeled E-Juice in a blue box and doesn't have an insert. I bought some 18mg caramel from him and that tasted burnt. I thought it was my clearomizers but now i think it may be my taste buds. The only other liquid i have gotten is a five bottle 3ml sample from RW Vapors in graham crackers, apple cinnamon, cramathol, raspberry, and pumpkin pi. I'm thinking i need to stay away from the sweet side of flavors. I didn't think I would like fruity but maybe i should try it anyway.

Where are you buying your liquid from? As someone else said there is a difference! I am like you, I want a menthol taste, no mint, no wintergreen, no nothing but gimme menthol. I found it at Mr. Eliquid regular menthol. Trust me, I tried a LOT of menthols, yuck...I sold them on the classifieds so someone else could try them. I have found that Mr. Eliquid Ice Collection is also great. I only had their menthol as my all day vape and then ventured to Bubble Ice, Cola Ice, and Raspberry Ice. So good :) I've not even touched the plain menthol anymore! :) good luck!

That's a good idea. Rather than trying flavors and adding my own menthol I should just buy someone else's flavored menthol. *facepalm* I am such a freakin' noob. Ugh.
I'm buying it local but like I said in reply to someone else, I have no clue what's in it. I know he says its supposed to be VG and a certain strength, but there's no box insert or verification. Makes me nervous.

What flavor does nicotine taste like? I guess I don't recognize it. Maybe that's what makes me think the caramel tastes burnt or bad tasting and made the apple cinnamon taste like apple cider to me. And the mentioning of tobacco flavor makes me think I should try some of that. Someone was kind enough to send me a message with a link to some menthol/tobacco flavored juice that ended up being their go to juice. I'm definitely going to try more menthols and the links people have given me. Right now I'm vaping the menthol I have and it seems to be the most satisfying. I'm not having the urge to rip an analog out of my neighbors hand everytime I see them smoking outside now! LOL

That probably would have been a great way to start off, had I known that was the way to do it. No one told me or offered me the option of non flavored juice. I didn't even know it existed until this thread. The store I bought my starter kit from certainly didn't mention it to me.

My mother, who uses Green Smoke products, has given me her PV's to use in the past. Unfortunately when she was using analogs she was a Virginia Slim Ultra Light 120 smoker. Its like puffing on a cloud, nothing there. So her Green Smoke PV is the same way. It isn't flavored and until this thread it never clicked. I hated her PV. I didn't last 2 hours without an analog when using her stuff. I was a Camel Crush menthol or a Pall Mall menthol smoker. Harsh is my friend. Sweet is not my buddy. I guess that sums it up. 0.o
