Anyone plan on quitting vaping eventually?

Just wondering if anyone looks at vaping as a stepping stone to eventually quit completely? I am amazed, well, shocked actually, that I have been analog free for over a month now. But I rely heavily on my 510. I go out for smoke breaks with co-workers, vape while driving etc. Someone at work asked me if I was going to eventually quit vaping, and I told him I didn't know and was taking it one step at a time. I suppose I am feeling a bit guilty for substituting one habit for another (albeit a much healthier one).

Any thoughts?

I'm sure a lot of people are, but I know I'm not.

The act of smoking is what I am addicted to, far more than the nicotine. In fact, I don't really think I'm addicted to the nicotine at all at ths point. But I definitely NEED to vape so I can take smoke breaks, which are critical to my mental health and well being. If I couldn't vape, I would go right back to smoking without any doubt, for no other reason that just to be able to take smoke breaks.

Maybe, somewhere down the line I'll start reducing the nic. Maybe not. But at least I can contemplate it now. I couldn't contemplate quitting smoking- that part just happened because I like vaping better. I have a friend who still smokes because she's afraid of trading one habit for another. I tell her that in my case that's kind of the point.

Well, it's a no brainer in so many ways. The money saved alone is a good enough reason to make the switch. Not to mention the health benefits, not smelling gross, no dirty ashtrays and film on your walls and car windows, whiter teeth....

My feelings exactly.

Nope. Never say never, but I doubt it. I didn't start vaping to quit smoking, that just happened. I have quit (smoking) in the past and it just does not work for me. Nothing to do with cravings, I was just never well.

I agree with DC2 and Greg, those breaks keep me in balance and I thoroughly enjoy the act of "smoking" which is pretty well exactly imitated by vaping, so I am good and I can't think of a single reason not to continue for as long as it is enjoyable to me.

Why stop? Nicotine is the one thing in cigs that isn't bad for you, and is being found to actually be good for you as long as you don't have cardio vascular problems. I think my answer to anyone asking that would have to be "As soon as you give up butting into other people's business, I'll consider giving up vaping."

I will be vaping forever!!! The way I look at it, it has saved my life... I also got my parents vaping and my dad has COPD, it has been a life saver for him as well. His doctor at the VA center is thrilled he is using a e-cig.

That is fantastic news about your dad!:D I wish more doctors would step up with their approval.
