This couldn't be further from the truth.

I've even encountered 0 nic vapers who can't quit, it is very much an addiction. You may not be addicted to nicotine anymore but it's an addiction in it's own right. If you really think it's not quit for a month, I guarantee after a few days and a little stress you'll be reaching for your pocket to grab that PV, I've seen it happen. No shame in being addicted to something, I'm addicted to vaping and god knows I'm addicted to coffee, but let's not down play this.
Now we're close to the question if free will is for real
The energy and will power one has to gather to quit could indeed seem pretty wasted for something so harmless. One reason for me to quit is that I'm way too obsessed about finding the "perfect" flavours, so I'm afraid it will never stop as long as I keep vaping, but I have a lot of faith in the stuff I've recently ordered from Inawera, so maybe I can start thinking about other things as well soon

I have lots of 'bad habits' I have no plans on quitting. Eating carbs. Eating meat. Eating stuff with fat in it. Seasoning my food. Drinking stuff with caffeine in it. Playing video games. Playing computer games. I even occasionally play some video poker or throw a few bucks at one of the big multi-million dollar slot machines. Drinking the occasional adult beverage. Driving a car. Riding a motorcycle. Smoking an occasional pipe. And now vaping.

I don't 'need' to do any of those things. Am I going to permanently quit any of them? Probably not. Everything involves some risk, including doing nothing. Nicotine is one of those things that I enjoy and has relatively little risk. I see no reason whatsoever to quit.

How is seasoning your food a bad habit??? Spices and herbs are very healthy :) Or are you using so much that you're going broke - heaps of saffron on every dish?

I'm at zero nic now and I seriously just enjoy vaping. It's fun for me, and i like building coils and messing with my gear. All my mods sit on my bed stand (obviously haven't got people in there too often :p) but now that I'm off the stinkies that's started to change, and since it smells wonderful and is a conversations starter that helps. It's the over parts of the conversation I have problems with. Anyhow, back on topic. I don't plan on stopping unless something substantial happens, like I become too broke to support my hobby. I'm not addicted, not a habit, just something I enjoy doing now. Why stop something that's fun if you don't have to?

Asking this here is probably like swearing in church :D - I'm just curious

Not at all.

There's tons of former ECF members who quit, not here anymore, sold all their stuff in the classies, etc. and others (like me) who want the freedom of not having any kind of habit that requires time, fiddling, purchasing, etc.

My 2 year anniversary is in 2 weeks....I went from 24mg and stepped down every few months.....am now at 3mg or 0 nic (I cut everything down and have some DIY flavorings to boost flavor when I do that to already-made juice).

My plan is to be using ONLY 0 nic by Thanksgiving, and New Years 2015 maybe I won't vape anymore, but maybe I will just vape 0 nic for a while and quit around my birthday in March.

Taking it one step at a time. :)

I'm just too busy to vape

There is no reason not to vape forever, some nicotine seems to help a lot of people, for me, I really don't need it and look forward to the day when my banner below reflects my REAL savings.....which means no $ spent on vaping either.

Then I will take a nice vacation with that money next year. :) I will continue to help other people get off cigarettes with vaping though.

But they're not necessary, lead to increased eating and some, like salt, are directly linked to hypertension and water retention. Hot spices can cause sweating, ........ and dehydration. Heck, there are some people who think drinking hot or cold liquids are bad for you. Only room temperature is acceptable. Spices and herbs are plant products, which can and often do contain heavy metals and other toxins. Some can cause burns at high enough concentrations. There are even some that can blindness at very tiny concentrations if you get them in your eyes.

Sarcasm aside, this is exactly the issue I think of whenever someone goes on about how only people who used to smoke should vape and you should quit it as soon as possible because of the 'health risks'. Jalapenos and habaneros are far more dangerous to 'public health'. Heck, they even cause more harm to innocent bystanders. I've been around some Tex-Mex that made my eyes burn just being near it. Never had that happen with anything coming off even a massive sub-ohm vape rig.

I have only been off cigs for 8 days. My plan "was" to wean down to 0 nic, then stop. I had a plan to just use one tobacco flavor juice, and just use it as a tool to quit smoking. Then I bought a vanilla flavor, then a coffee flavor, now I just ordered 3 bottles from NLV, and I see the slippery slope im headed toward. We will see where it leads.

Yes I do plan on quitting vaping. I started this to get off cigarettes and nicotine. Vaping has gotten me off the smokes and I have been fairly successful reducing my nicotine intake. I've also been working on not vaping at the same times I use to smoke cigarettes. Like when I first get out of bed in the morning then with my coffee and every time I get behind the wheel of my car.

I plan on giving up vaping within a month or 2 of getting to Zero nicotine. When that will be is up in the air. But I am working on it.

Quit vaping? Quit?!? Blasphemy! She speaks words of blasphemy! Get her!

:p

But seriously - never. Well, as I can't predict the future, I guess I can't rightly say "never". But as strongly as I've felt about vaping since my first day doing it, I really doubt I'll ever want to leave it behind.

hehe, you're funny!
Well, you have some good points there that I hadn't thought of or experienced. That Tex-Mex thing, oh lord! Habaneros maybe shouldn't be food.
You should also drink only water from high up on the mountain.
The Nazis said spices are unhealthy! Bad joke, I know :D

Traitors! Mutiny! I bet they've sold their children to slavery as well!

I initially planned on quitting eventually by means of weaning down the nicotine. Started on 36 and made my way down to 12. been on 12 for over 6 months, and now that I get a lot of vapor, I'd like to drop down to 6. If that works out I don't see why I wouldn't go to 3 or even 0. We'll see. It's a matter of time and weaning down has been inevitable on my part.

Might quit sometime,
I've been vaping for a few years and don't really see the need to.
Couple of those years I was into a juice that only came in 24mg or 0mg, and I didn't like to dilute for flavor reasons. Got sick of it and now I'm going through flavours again form vendors with more options and my rig is putting out a lot of vapor so I'm cutting down to 18 but that's just to keep myself from getting dizzy chain vaping at home.
I'm still addicted to nicotine, but I don't really care I get to keep a vice or two.
I quit most of the other stuff that concerned my family, I get to keep a couple vices. This vice smells nice, and keeps me sane and the family don't mind.

Prepare yourself for your family and friends to love that you're not smoking any more, and for your bank account to hate that you've picked up a hobby that leads to no end of buying.

I've learned that I can't say I will never stop vaping. I seriously thought I would die with a cig nearby. I have stated to people that I would never stop smoking...lord have mercy! I did stop!
I take it one day at a time and have currently lowered my nic. If I get to zero? Great! Will I stop vaping? I don't know. I guess I will figure that out if that time comes :D
