I save about $500 a month total...$6000 a year due to vaping versus analogs..plus $100 a year for paint I save, repainting over the yellow chit from the ceiling and walls with analogs

5 cartons of Cigarettes =$500 ($100 a carton in Massachusetts) Marlboro Reds..$10.31 a pack..for analogs monthly

50 ML juice from MBV (mtbakervaper.com) = $11... and 2 rebuildable coils = $2 from FT (fastttech.com)= $13 a month total for vaping...initial startup costs was $44 from discountvapers.com

I can't imagine not saving money.

I smoked a pack a day of cigarettes at roughly $6.50 per pack. That's $45.50 per WEEK. That works out to $2,366 per year that I was smoking. I could buy 5 Provaris and a half dozen authentic Kayfuns per year and I would still save hundreds of dollars.

Add in my wife who smoked the same and we could buy a Provari and authentic Kayfun as well as a half gallon of juice every month and still save money.

Some of you guys must not have smoked very much if you're spending the same amount vaping. Either that or you're just throwing away hundreds or even thousands of dollars on redundant hardware that does the exact same thing as hardware you already have.

I was lung hitting cheap cigars for over 10 years. With the halt of "Buy one pack, get one Free", it was going to cost me around $400.00 a month for those not so cheap anymore cigars.

Due to the many fine folks on this Forum pointing out deals, that $400 was enough to buy DIY supplies to allow me to make juice for around Two Years!

Save money? Since I have not bought any cigars in 3 months....I think so...:)

Lets see. I used to spend about $40-50 a month and several hours every week to make my own smokes. Now I've spent a few hundred in the last month and have spent a couple of hours making coils.

But I don't smell, my car smells better and I am less likely to get cancer or die of a heart attack (eventually). So yeah, I am spending less.

I've been smoke free since July 29th, 2013...

I've spent roughly $800 on vape gear and DIY.
I'm pretty happy with my setups finally and by the looks of my counter I've saved over $1500 so far!
I've also stocked my husband as well, other than him buying his own ProVari and his Aspire tank...
I'm now hopefully saving for my second ProVari and more Kayfun Clones and more DIY juices.
I smoked 2 1/2 PAD for almost 30 years, I'm so glad I've quit!

The trend seems to be high front end cost and lower long term. Call it a mortgage on the life we are buying back.

You also have to remember that the trend here is NOT normal.

Most of the people here for any extended period of time are enthusiasts. DIY, rebuilding, dripping, subohms, Provaris, mech mods, on this forum these things are normal. Step out in the real world and I doubt we make up 1% of ecig users.

Most people could get an Ego, Kanger T2 or T3 clearo, and a single flavor and be perfectly happy. My wife is like that. She would never have gone to a mod if I hadn't pushed her into it. She's been vaping since last August and today she uses a 69 mech mod with a Kick and an iClear 30S tank. Basically, a larger, more powerful, regulated eGo. And now she won't even consider using anything else.

As for me, I've been put on a strict budget because I'm pretty much a geek anyways, and love to tinker with anything at all mechanical or technical. She says I've got enough hobbies that I waste money on, so I'll have to drop one of the others before I can put any more significant amount of money into vaping gear.

To me, that means that I have to find ways of getting money that she doesn't know about, such as short-filling my gas tank and putting the extra aside. Funny thing is, she didn't even notice when I swapped out my Aerotank for a Kayfun. That was almost 2 months ago and I'm still not sure she's aware that I have more than 1 type of tank. (I have 3 different clearos, and a Trident V2 dripping atomizer, and two Kayfuns)

Hahaha I think I am on your road. I started with a VV Vision Spinner at 1500mHa and an Aspire BDC. That was day one. On day two I bought a PT3 a carrying case and a few replacement heads for both tanks. Day three, today I bought a stupid amount of different juices and have just realized it takes me about two days to empty one tank full. I think I have enough supplies for the next 2 months.

I was smoking RYO with pipe tobacco, maybe $40 plus tubes a month. So, no, I haven't saved any money. However, now I have found what I like, and I am reasonably certain I can meet my goal for the rest of the year.

Damn. I just did what i was trying to avoid. I've spent the equivalent of 10 months or so (about $400) on vaping so far. No spending money on more until next February. :) Odds of that happening? Slim to none. :)

I stick with my earlier statement. I am stopping the reduction of my life expectancy, so I am going to win in the end. :)

And probably would be, if they hadn't found this place. lol "I" certainly was happy with my EVOD and menthol. A few technical difficulties, a little Googling, and ~oops~ here I am. Tasty flavors, trying to learn about drippers, wishing there was a vape meet closer than three hours away. I still have my training wheels, but I can see how folks are lead astray er, gain so much knowledge and skill and equipment. ;)

I am working out at a gym three times a week. Never would have dreamed of being interested in that a year ago!! Was even comfortable subbing in PE last week. The teacher claims he is too much adhd to tolerate the aerobic machines, so I modeled athletic behavior for an adaptive PE class. :D

it will be a year for me in May smoke free. I fell off the wagon for a couple of months caz I bought a knock off ego and a clearamizer. I'm gone from a ego twist to a MVP 2. got rid of the tanks caz I always buy replacement heads and out of 5 pak 2 or 3 didn't worl. Now using a Igo-L learned how to build coils, have enough cotten wick to last a lifetime and a half.
Now I'm waiting for my tax return to buy a nice mod, no provaire thanks heheh, but maybe something along the lines, have enough diy supplies to last awhile, just need a few more flavors.
Soo right now, nope haven't saved any money....yet :)
