Anyone still smoking?

Soon I will be a e-Sig user. I put an order through SmokelessImage.com, having some problems and trying to get in contact with them to figure it out. Money was taken from account but I got no confirmation email, no receipt page, and nothing is on my accounts order history.

While I wait I will still be smoking. I plan to still smoke cigars, pipe, and even cigarettes while using my PV but I find that more time than not when I am smoking a cigarette it is out of boredom rather than a nicotine craving. I am a security guard so my job basically consists of walking around a car lot, seeing if anything got broken by drunk people from the bar next door, and then sitting in my car for another 8-17hrs.

Most people on here seem to be using their PV as a replacement for analogs which is understandable given it is a healthier delivery system, but is anyone else out there still smoking? Do you think I will stop smoking cigarettes once I get my PV (hopefully :[)?

I apologize if I have misused any jargon. I have lurked the forums for a while but this is my first actual post.

When I first got into vaping, my plan was to taper off cigs over the course of a month or two. After a week or so, I was driving home and thought to myself that I have to stop for a pack. Then I thought to myself, why bother? Haven't smoked since.
I think the habit, for me at least, was more the action then the nicotine.

I bought a disposable e-cig because I saw it in a shop. I was thinking about giving up, but like many smokers, that was always 'tomorrow'. I smoked for a short time after I bought that e-cig (less than a week) and then just didn't bother buying any more smokes. Well over a month now, and I love vaping so much I can't imagine going back to an inferior nicotine delivery system that does so much harm, costs so much (especially in the UK!), is banned in so many places, and makes my clothes, hair and breath stink.

THAT is very unlike them. They have a way to file a trouble ticket. They also have their own forum on ECF, you could PM them.

I use vapes for the "boredom cigs" but still smoke. CAREFUL, though, if you are vaping a LOT from boredom you will need some 0 nic or very-very low nic to alternate with the higher-nic stuff, because vaping gives a delayed nicotine uptake, not instant like analogs. I got myself into an agitation/rapid heartbeat/anxiety attack (I do NOT get those!!!!) from over-vaping out of boredom last week, it was NOT fun! Now I have 0 nic (BORING TASTE) for the "boredom vapes" and am looking for something a little more bitter.

My roommate stopped within 1-2 weeks of starting vaping. I'm on month 4, and I'm down from 1 1/4 packs/day to somewhere between 1/2 and 7/8 pack. Now I'm using Smokeless Image volts with Bloog cartomizers, and I just got the Volt X2 (better!) -- I've found 1-2 flavors I like. I think to really quit I'll need to find more flavors, more experience, different delivery systems (clearo? tank?)

My sister knows someone who took 1.5 years to get totally off "analogs" (as folks here call cigarettes...I like to call them "nails", some people call them "stinkys")

But I'm jonesing for one of those signature banners with quit date and money saved, so I'm still working on it. I'm really really hoping it will be a lot less than a year from when I started vaping.

Bottom line: YMMV

It is a process and everyone is different. Any reduction is a victory.

Hey, I'm in the same boat you are, mostly smoke cigs while I'm bored and waiting for customers outside my shop. I started vaping a few weeks ago with intention of cutting back and saving some money on buying cigs, but not quitting all together.

Now I find myself vaping more and more just so I can stay inside the shop and stay away from the summer heat. I pretty much stopped buying cigarettes and am now stuck on a quest to try every e-liquid known to man. I do keep a pack of smokes in the shop for when friends come by, but I just give them out now cause I have my PV :)

If I do have a cig with my friends, I end up tossing it after a few puffs cause it just tastes absolutely nasty now compared to my Kona Coffee Milkshake e-liquid :D I don't think I'll be smoking cigs (analogs) anymore.

I kind of always "chain smoked occasionally", and eventually forgot what normal people did when they were waiting for something or just weren't actively doing something else.

My plan with e-cigs was to vape in place of my "just smoking" cigarettes and still smoke when I actually wanted one. That happened for a while until one day when I kind of forgot that cigarettes existed……for like a week……with half a pack in my laptop bag the whole time.

I finally ran out of juice while waiting for a shipment and went back for a couple days…and OMG it was disgusting.

I really think that regardless of what you want, you can get it. But don't be disappointed if you find yourself not smoking and then eventually go back and think they're more disgusting than your first one.

Or maybe not…who knows? But that's what happened for me.

@ Berylanna ,

Sounds to me that you don't have a ecig that is quite doing the job possibly, have you considered a nice Mod like VV Reo or Provari and using a good Atty like a HH-357 or Iken I06 ? It's very possible that this would take you to the next level and get you off the stinkies all together, just a though

I roll my own cigarettes. Its anywhere from $5.50-7 a pack. Rolling only costs me about 10$ a carton. I dont smoke every day but at work or when im drinking look the hell out. Ill smoke anywhere from 15-25. I think its just the action and the time it wastes that is the appeal hence the reason

I have heard nothing but good from them. It was a weird malfunction I have been in contact with them through their facebook and they are very responsive. I am not worried about the money I just want my PV so I can try these tasty juices. Even with the trouble it is not their fault and I give them an A+. they are good people. No hard feelings at all.

Bought my wife a starter kit because she asked for one. :)
The kit came with two batteries, and we had no idea about juices, cartos, etc.
I started vaping along with her just to help figure it all out. Smoked my regular cigarettes for the next few days with no intention of quitting. At some point I realized I liked her e-cigs better.
Didn't mean to quit.... it just happened. Bummed a smoke off a friend the other night while drinking.... didn't care for it.

I'm pretty happy with my X2s, and I hated my kGo. The trouble is twofold: now that my batteries don't die fast, I'm irritated how fast a carto vapes down. And when I put my fave juice (PrimeVaping's Natural Tobacco) into a clearo, I miss the leftover 555 flavor I got from refilling cartos.

So I'll probably order some 555 juice to mix with the Natural Tobacco until I find "my" juice(s), and I can see that I'm headed for either a Phoenix or a Phinac tank.

I only just GOT the X2 last week, only tried the clearo last night for the first time....the first 3 months were Blu disposables, GreenSmoke, Volt 65mm, kG0. I'll have some PIF stuff soon, after I've used the old stuff to try to convert family and friends.
