I currently have the stainless steel version and was thinking of getting the brass version this time, but I'm not sure if it's a good idea, since I read that people are able to taste the brass.
    It's not really brass.
More of a "gold" plating over SS.
I get no taste from the gold color or the SS version.

Thanks guys, much appreciate the info. The gold plated deck does look a bit nicer than the ss and since it's gold plated, means better conductivity too right? So I'm guessing that would be the way to go.

One more question, there is a cool ss version with a pc cap and black o rings, at fasttech. So I'm leaning towards this one now.

    But how's pei vs pc?

I read that pc is less resistive to chemical corrosion, but I'm not sure if the chemicals contained in e liquids will have a negative effect.

What do you guys think? Pei vs pc?

I don't think anyone uses tank cracker juices anymore, but a pc cap will definitely become cloudy with any of those juices. I've watched a friends Kayfun Mini pc tank literally develop multiple cracks within 30 seconds after he filled it with a bananna flavored juice.

Here is a really old list of juice/flavoring that does not like polycarbonate.
Here is a list of e-juices known to deteriorate polycarbonate tanks:

Wowww, that's a long list of tank crackers. Guess that rules out the pc version :/

Thanks for the advice bud. Guess I'll just stick to the boring old pei version, hehe. It might not be the best looking but at least I know it's reliable.

Not saying that any of your juice has that ability but why take the chance. Have you looked at the resin ones?

Oooh that random colour thing makes it a no-go for me. I'm way to fussy about making everything all matchy matchy, hehe.

Curious though, is resin a good material? Pei doesn't look good, but it's got awesome properties. Is resin just as good?

    Sorry I don't know, I wouldn't own a resin topcap. ;)

I've been using the WASP Nano for a few days now... Excellent flavor with good cloud production. Not as good as my 22mm Goon 528 with Trinity Glass cap, but then no other RDA nothing comes close. I have an authentic Hadaly, but there's no glass cap available for it.

For some reason, my RDA's (when used for squonking) seem to emit a sour taste once the coil(s) begins to soot?

Hello, I've been using wasp nano and i like on how compact it is. Been wondering though, what diameter of a coil and how high the coil placement is that will yield the best flavor? So far i've been using ss316l 24g 3mm for 9 wraps and spaced. Thank u :D

26/36 316L SS fused clapton, 3mm, 4 wraps (not spaced) works nicely in this atty. Really great flavor and only a warm vape at 50-60W.

I position it so the center of the coil is about .5mm below the top of the deck posts. A little higher (center of coil even with top of deck posts) works good too but the vape is a little hotter and spitback can be an issue. Experiment around a little to see what works good for your vaping style.
The thing that worked best for me with this atty was to reduce the number of coil wraps. Too long of a coil was just too hot and spitty for me.

Just ordered a wasp, as my first RDA. I’m excited to give it a shot.

I only have 28g and 26g kanthal wire, as I am a low wattage mtl sort of guy.

What would be a first basic coil to toss in the wasp?

    Thanks!
I don't think the Wasp will be a very good MTL RDA. The Origen Little, Narda, Strike 14/18, Hellfire, NoToy and others would serve you better.

There is a good thread listing MTL devices in the Fasttech forums.

    Wasp Nano build up date:
The build I mentioned before was for the Wasp, not the Wasp Nano.....sorry bout that.

For the Nano my build is a 26/36 316L SS, 5/4 wrap, 2.77mm (7/64") ID, fused clapton set with top of coil even with top of deck posts. It's a winner. Wrap the coil clockwise, that way the legs are on top/coil on bottom when set.
