why not heat your water in a pyrex cup in microwave,then put the object of your project in to it,,i do this all the time.
kinda like heating water for your tea or coffee,hot chocolate etc.

I can't remember exact details, but I believe if you nuke distilled water in a clean container for long enough, it could spontaneously(and explosively) boil once you put something into it

I don't remember all the details now,but approx 5-6 years ago there was a report about people getting burned from heating water in microwaves,the one thing they all had in common is they were using relatively new cups ,
new cups have rather smooth sides ,but once they put a spoon or whatever in the cup that is when the water would explode out of the cup
Seems that older cups with minor nicks from spoon stirring ,which difuse the energy in hot liquid

i cook rice and noodles in micro wave for 25 to 30 minutes in rubber maid micro wave safe bowls and never had one blow on me yet and they sure do boil.
but for coffee and tea ,,just 2 minutes on high in a 600 watt microwave oven.
i have seen them arch when i forgot to take spoon or fork out of container.
i am not worried about water blowing up,,you know murphy's law,,,if it can happen,it already has happened to me.

Anyone know if the Vamo V2 will accommodate a T3 without an adapter? And if an adapter IS required, can someone link me to *exactly* the adapter one would need? I've done some searching but there are different kinds of 510-to-eGo adapters, some with threads on the inside, some with threads for the eGo "skirts" etc. I'm confused! And I think I really want a Vamo but only if I can use the T3 with it!

I purchases two the Kanger T3 a couple of weeks ago and they have been doing great. Today one of them started leaking pretty bad for some reason. I blew it out real good, and it worked well the rest of the day.
I have been wanting to try to rebuild it since I got it and I ordered some 400 mesh SS material which came in today. I have been reading about the Petar K method of making a coil on a drill bit and decided to see how it would go. I must say that I am pleased with the results so far. When I make the next one I plan to do a video of it, but if anyone want to try here is how I did it.
1. I found a precision screwdriver that fits tightly in the wick location and made 6 wraps with nichrome 32 gauge wire, leaving about an inch and a half extra on each lead.
2. I fitted the screw driver in place of the wick as I fed the leads through the coil barrel, then pushed the air tube into the barrel to hold the screwdriver in place.
3. Then I routed the wires, replacing the rubber grommet and positive contact pin in the bottom of the coil assembly; clipped off the excess wire once it was in place.
4. Removed the screwdriver and used a multimeter to check the ohms, which resulted in a reading of 1.7 ohms.
5. Placed the coil assembly on an ego twist and turned it all the way down; did a few dry fires to heat the coil glowing red.
6. I then loosely rolled a tiny SS wick about the size of the hole going through the coils, making it into a tube.
7. I then stuck the SS wick on a smaller precision screwdriver and burned some VG on it about 6 or 7 times, rolling the screwdriver as it burned.
8. While the SS wick was still on the screwdriver I gently slid it into the coil.
9. I test fired it a few time on the ego twist and had no hot spots.
10. Squirted a little VG onto the wick and fired it a few time until it dried out.
And that's it. I filled the tank back up with my favorite juice, put it back together and started vaping!
It is hitting great! Nice throat hit and good flavor. It is not very warm, but being a bottom coil that is expected. I have tried it at all settings on the ego twist, from 3.2 to 4.8 volts and had no burnt taste or dry hits even when chain vaping. I find the sweet spot on this is setup for me is about 3.8 volts. I have not had any flooding yet either, but I have only had it going for a couple of hours now so I will follow up on that once I go through a couple of tanks.

I'd picked up a mini-Nova and a MT3 at the same time, about 1.5 weeks ago. I've been using the Nova almost exclusively this past week as it seems to punch out more flavor than the T3

So here is a crazy question..
I just cleaned mine (Kanger T3)..
Now should i put back all the wicks or should i leave 1 or both off, especiially since alot of my juice im getting is a 50/50 blend. would leaving the wicks off increase the flavor or should i put them both back??

And I get gurgling if I remove either of the flavor wicks. I'd say take one off, see what happens. It's easy enough to put back, just don't loose the little b@$t@rd!
I bought a MT3 from vapingme and a t3 from discountvapers.
Both were excellent and blew the Vivi Nova away. I'm very sensitive to chemical taste and neither from drag 1 had any kind of metal/chemical taste.
Interestingly enough the wicking on these are tremendous. Stronger pulls give a great wet vape and weak pulls give a great vape but I've noticed a crackling sound with weak draws. So this design is the opposite of others. It handles strong draws better than weak ones. Figure that.
Juice doesn't get darker as you get to the bottom because physics is not pulling the lighter molecules first like on the top coils. The flavor is excellent much better than my Vivi. This is my new clearomizer solution. Bye Bye Vivi.
I also believe that having the Coil on the bottom makes for a cooler vape, less mouth irritation. Most importantly this unit brings out more flavor from my juices.
One interesting adjustment is that had to lower my nicotine content in my juice. It was too harsh even at the lowest settings but when I brought my Juice into the mid High 20mg level I was satisfied at 4.4v. Where in the 36-40mg range even 3.3V was too harsh.
Also the replacement cartridge is 3/4 of the unit instead of just a little head. The advantage is that I can't get my base unit of Vivi Nova to last very long because the center pole get's out of line, and the rubber seal won't seal exactly. This unit shouldn't have that problem.
I strongly suggest that you buy your unit from DiscountVapers they have a relationship with Kangers that goes back many years and your risk of a knock off (Which I suspect is the reason why we see negative reviews) is nonexistent.
Vapingme I don't know very well but they shipped quickly and the product worked too. I went to them because Discount Vapers was out of the replacement heads and there product is authentic too.
I did have to buy 2 510 to ego adaptors but why should Ego Users have all the fun!

Heres my take on the T3, have used it for about a week on ego twist with 100% VG.
First half tank it worked great out of the box (didnt want to fill completely in case I didnt like the performance or the new juice I hadnt tried yet) so the next fill using a needle dripper so I dont get any in the air tube. Fire it up starts gurgling (well crap maybe I did get some in there), take it apart and blow it out, reassemble still gurgling.
Then I read in this thread to try turning up the volts some, no dice. Next, take it apart clean it dry it, dry burn rinse repeat still gurgling ONLY at times this time (that probably dont make sense) I start vaping and everything is good then bam gurgling like hell im guessing flooding.
Next I do the whole take apart clean deal and I remove the flavor strip, put back together and it leaks like hell immediately onto the battery. So at this point im done with it, I bought a few more attys so Im just gonna throw one of those in and start all over.
Cleaned the tank and let it air dry for a couple days, threw in the new atty and im basically having the same issues, seems like it works when it wants to and then the gurgling, flooding starts.
I was really wanting this to work for me and it does about a third of the time, and when it does work its a damn fine vape but not a consistant vape.
I didnt read this whole thread (got through about 20 pgs, but everyone was raving about it and didnt find much negative feedback) but if anyone has any suggestions please post em.
