I've been vaping for a little over 3 weeks....stopped smoking immediately when I got my E-cig...but did have a few cigs that weekend. Went onto the next week..decided to have a cigarette, and afterwards, hated the taste and smell. Haven't had a regular cig in over 2 weeks now.

Was wondering if anyone else noticed this...I cannot imagine going back to smoking now...vaping has much better taste, no smell and still gives me the "hit" of the cigarette I was used to, gives me the nicotine, and satisfies the oral fixation habit of smoking.

Quit on July 3rd and never looked back. I have failed my whole life in dieting and losing weight and will not allow myself to fail here. Wife still smokes and vapes and she smells like crap (she doesn't read my posts)! I have smoked in my dreams and woke up very let down and disgusted with myself. After smelling my fingers, i realized it was just a dream. This is easy for me to say, but JUST SAY NO!

havent done that in decades

my son maybe has maybe one smoke a week and thats down from 2 packs a day
my daughter in law is totally off the smokes now for almost 6 months

its good having them being a cheering section for me

I light one up about every 6 months to remind me of how nasty they taste. I can't actually inhale it anymore. It gags me. It takes a day or two to get the foul tar taste out of my mouth.

Once your brain disconnects the flavor of a cig from the source of the addictive drug, the cig will never taste the same.

Still smoking on occasion. Last month I smoked less than a pack for the whole month. Lately, I am smoking 1-3 cigs/week. Just slowly forgetting to smoke. I have faith in this vaping stuff.
Current setup:
Kgo 1100 mah battery
Smoketech 1.7 ohm cartomizer
Johnson Creek Red Oak Tennessee Cured @ 24 mg nic.

I started vaping and after several months fell off the wagon. Trying to get back into vape-only once again. Honestly can't remember why I started cigs again. Might had to do with my limited choices of juices and equipment I had on hand.

Probably the most important factor for staying vape-only is to make sure you stock up on the juices and equipment you enjoy the most.

Hi, Yeh I've had similar thoughts/experiences. Been vaping for about 1.5 wks now, no notion or desire for a "real ciggie" since. However, 2 days ago I went for my "vape" to find battery was completely dead....aaaargh needed a smoke so lit one of my "emergency roll-ups" (have kept some in-case deliveries are late etc), had one puff, nearly puked, was vile, put it out, threw it in the kitchen bin which I then had to empty because I could smell it...and was amazed at my own reaction after being a smoker for 28 years!!!
Like you, I can't imagine smoking again, vaping works for me....satisfies both the habit and the addiction. Am sooo pleased with myself, as is my hubby as I no longer stink of smoke. You're not alone and we should all be really pleased with ourselves!! :)

Your experience is VERY common, almost to the point of being the norm.

I still don't understand those that go back to smoking, but I think there are a number of factors involved...
--They haven't found the setup that works for them without frustration
--They haven't found the juice(s) that make them happy
--Some unknown factor that eludes me

I think I will make a thread to ask this question, since I've never actually seen it asked!
:)

I started on one of those cheap ecigs that was like, $16 for a battery, charger and two cartomizers. I wasn't entirely a fan of the flavor, but liked the concept of vaping, which had opened me up to the concept of sticking with them. However, once the cartomizer went out and was replaced with a burnt taste, I gave up and went back to cigs for a month or so until I found out about a shop about 60 or 70 miles away from home that sold better equipment and juices and I went there for another go, since I was out in the area anyway for other reasons. No regrets there, got a good setup I like, and plan on returning tomorrow while I'm out in that area again for some more flavours to get some variety into it. Not looking back anymore. It is indeed easier once you have a setup you like and a good resource for them. :) I consider myself lucky I didn't spend any more than $16 on my failure of a purchase.

I quit smoking for 6 months then decided I was going to quit vaping as well....within a month i was back to smoking. In my case I think I jumped the gun and should have tried stepping down my nic levels first then keeping a pv with 0nic juice around for cravings
Any idea why you went back to smoking instead of vaping?
