Glad you like your Provari. I love mine. And yes it does sizzle when scrolling through the menu because its sending a charge out. It will also sizzle while checking resistance and the battery. As for having a hard time with cartos, I did too(overfilled, burnt taste). The burnt taste was probably because the juice hadn't fully soaked to the coil. I threw the first one out, filled another and waited about half an hour. Worked better that time. But I have decided I don't like cartos. I'm really much happier with tanks. Vivi Novas work very well for the money(about $12). I just got some Kanger pro tanks and am currently in the process of trying them out. So far they work very well also. They cost a little more($18) but have a glass tank and are more aesthetically pleasing.

Thanks guys and gals, this thread made me order a Provari last night. Had to take advantage of the blemish sale, right? Anyway, counting down the days till I get it. Currently using a Volcano Inferno (only when I really need the portable convenience) and the iTaste MVP. Can't say I like the clearomizers that came with the MVP too much, maybe I vape to heavy for the wicks to keep up, but they seem to give a burnt taste too easy. Mainly I use my Volcano 4ml & 7ml carto tube tanks. They are good, but just ordered some from IBTanked and they look awesome in comparison. Especially when you consider the volcano are chrome and polycarbonate with no extra O-ring set and the IBTanked are SS & glass with extra O-rings for around the same price. Really glad I saw that review by Baditude for IBTanked.

Hello, I am new to vaping, but I leaning toward skipping all the usual steps and going for the ProVari, but the question is - is there anything better than ProVari out there? Also, what are the limitations of ProVari - does it have any? - in terms of what can be used with it, cartomizers, tanks, etc. Thanks.

I am in the same position as you. I just received the Provari yesterday along with the Kanger glass protank. I love it just fill it and forget it. No muss no fuss. I am also going to get another device as a back up though I hope that having now tried the best I will still like the rest. LOL
Good luck

After I tried it (the Protank), I bought two more. Easy to use and glass. I do not think there is anything else available on the market now that is better. Is there?

As always...taste in devices, as well as juice, is subjective. I like the Protank. But I still prefer my carto tanks. I dont think it comes down to one device being better than the other. Just a better fit for the individual.

A glass carto tank is next on my list to try. What is your favorite setup (tank and cartomizer)?

I like both Boge and Smok single coil cartos. I have a few tanks that I like. The tank itself is not as important as the carto inside, and proper setup. Of course unless the tank is just crappy to begin with.
I have a few AGR tanks, a few Tripple V Pyrex, and a Lil Mama SS tank. All them perform about the same, but I think right now my favorite is the Lil Mama. It just looks really nice to me.
Many will tell you that one delivery device is better than another, but only you can decide what you like best. I have tried about every clearo out there, a few different cartos, and a few Gen's. I have found a place for all of them in my vape journey.

Yes I love my BB, it is USA made and super easy to use not to mention just HOT....oh wait we were talking about a provari :)

All kidding aside, sounds like you made a Great choice! Many provari lovers out there, maybe one day I will be one too :)
ProVari looked intimidating, but I am very glad that I listened to the pros, skipped everything and went from disposables straight to ProVari.

Sooweeeet! Got my Provari in today and need to say WOW! Went ahead and ordered the extension cap and batteries yesterday (wish I had done so in my first order). This sucker is solid, but small. Much smaller than I expected, but still very cool. It is beautiful with an IBTanked 19mm XL SS tank on it. Ordered another one of those today. Also just ordered a Pelican 1060 micro case and foam insert to keep this beautiful equipment in perfect shape. Now the only thing still desired is a custom leather sleeve from Serenity Gear. That guy makes some gorgeous leather covers. Hopefully that will be available soon.

Where do you get a custom foam insert? Congrats! Enjoy your ProVari.

Grabbed them both on amazon. It was $17.50 for case and $5.59 for the case foam insert. Free two day shipping with Amazon Prime. Didn't search a ton, but was the best price for the places I did search. Will have it by Wednesday and hopefully can get it cut out quick for some pics.

Amazon.com: Pelican 1060-025-100 Micro Case with Clear Lid and Carabineer Black: Camera & Photo
Amazon.com: Pelican Pick N' Pluck foam set for 1060 Micro-Case: Camera & Photo

Edit....just re-read you post. Just wanted to clarify, it is not a custom foam insert for the Pelican 1060 already made for the Provari. It is just custom for the 1060 case and you cut out the shape for the Provari and accessories as you see fit.

Well,
in the space of 24 pages I went from not wanting a Provari (barely aware of its existence, really) to wanting one to really wanting one to just finished ordering it.

As someone said earlier in this thread, you guys should really go into sales :toast:

Ditto!!! After also reading 24 pages I also ordered my "PINK" Provari yesterday... I'm so excited, I have watched so many reviews on you tube and was getting so confused as to what mod to buy, I'm pretty confident I made the right decision. Ty all for helping me decide!!!

This pretty much describes my experiance, except that now I want to order another one, maybe the mini, as a backup.

Or maybe I should start another thread, "Anything better than ProVari as a backup for ProVari?" :)

Congratulations on your decisicion to get it!

This sounds like me.

I used to take my extended Provari everywhere, but sometimes grew tired of its heft and not always being pocket friendly. I got two different V-V gripper-style box mods to relieve the Provari for out-and-about use, but still often grabbed the Provari when going out the door because I just preferred its vape.

I splurged on a Mini for my 1 year vape anniversary and couldn't be happier. (Well, red would have been my choice for the Mini if it was available.) I just carry a spare battery in a safe battery container should I need it. I'll be getting a Serenity Gear flexi-sleeve lanyard combo when he begins taking orders again later this month so I don't misplace this little fella.

AGA T2's on my black Mini and blue Provari with chrome extension cap.

I'm exclusively large with extensions now. I tried using the 18490 caps for work, but still was changing the batteries more often that I'd like. I use dual-coil cartos (they work best for me, so stop...), and I'll burn through an 18650 in four or five hours.

All big, all ProVari, all the time. I have other stuff, but I never leave the house with it. I need to know what's with me won't fail me.

But everybody's different - this is just what keeps ME off Marlboros.
