I don't understand Portuguese, but from watching the video, they have updated the firmware in the AnyVape CVI from that in the (older) Segelei ZMax. And yes, I think it's the same guts as the Segelei ZMax. They fixed a bunch of things in the programming and text display that Phil Busardo complained about (though not everything, so PB will still have something to not like :D ).

I was pretty keen on the Segelei ZMax, but from the little I've seen about the AnyVape, I think I prefer its look and design; I certainly prefer it's (less expensive) price. And I also prefer its updated firmware (which unlike the eVic, can't be user updated). I'm looking forward to Phil's review of the AnyVape, along with the voltage/power charts he generates. The Portuguese youtube video you linked to shows a 1.5Ω cart being used, and since I plan on using a 1.5Ω cart, I'm very encouraged.

As we tested the device (see the link above), I can confirm that the CVI works down to 1.3Ω.

Here is our charts:

From what I've read and seen it pretty much acts like the others(zmax,vamo,etc.).

1. Found the color to be lacking
ColorPics2_zpsb8cdc362.png

2. Found the drag limiter to be around 5/6 sec.. Also just stops producing vapor with no warning. Much to short.
3. It just stops when it gets to 3/3.1v("low volt"). If you have the display turned on it constantly switches between your selected display(res.,v,w,batte[ry]) and the word "ANYVAPE" making the low volt message unnoticeable.
4. Found that the T3's will bottom out and hide the knurled bottom making it difficult to remove. I have taken to using a 510- ego adapter to resolve this.
5. If your not careful, as stated above, when removing a T3, you will separate the tank from the base causing a mess!
6. Found the vw adjustment(.5w) to broad. Returned to the vv mode(.1v) for fine tunning.

I have translated the Instruction manual that you can view or download here

Feels like it is built OK and is cheaper than the others. They now have a V1 and a V2(evic look-a-like). The consensus it the V1 looks better and probably will function better over time because the V2 puts the "guts" closer to the atomizer.

So Calif
It only has RMS. I have 2 of these units bought from a US vendor. I like them a lot. I vape at about 9 watts most of the time, I don't notice a drag limitation. So far I'm dripping on both but carto tanks are also in my inventory and could find their way onto the CVI's.

I have V1's, saw the V2's and they are ugly to look at *IMHO* and I don't like the idea of the plastic shroud holding in the heat of the electronics. Nor would I want to drop it.

As far as the color goes, I have the hot pink and the red. They are anodized aluminum, have a frosted look to the finish and I *think* there may be a clear coat over it.

The control heads of the CVI V1's come off the battery tube (threaded) and can be used with an Ego mod battery tube as well, per one of the threads I saw. One of our members showed it, not a vendor.

Nice review paddymx..and Fiamma

I agree with everything said. For an aluminum MOD, I feel the build, fit and finish is pretty nice. If you have ever taken the head off a eGo 18650 MOD, and felt the "crunchyness" of those threads, you will appreciate these threads.

Having the output only in RMS is indeed a good thing, as my Vamo has been set to AVG, and burned up my throat and lungs by accident.

All VW devices I know, are set in .5 watt increments...nothing new there..

I'll re-post my findings from another thread:

You know to be truthful, they all have their pluses and minuses. If I look at everything in perspective, the CVI ranks next to the top.
This is because: (and not in this order)
1. Lightweight
2. ergonomics
3. build quality
4. performance (4 amp and VV/VW )
5. configuration diversity (18650 and 18350 batts options.)
6. ease of menu operation
7. Price
8. adaptability (Kanger T3 native)

Once again, in case anybody missed it, I have used the eGo 18650 MOD batt tubes with the CVI, and it fires fine. The eVic batt tubes work on the CVI, so forth and so on. The only thing you can't do is put the CVI top cap (which is male threaded) onto the eVic control head (because it too, is male threaded)

For one product to be made by Anyvape, and eGo to be made by Joyetech, this is a fantastic supprise indeed

I stand by my opinion that this is the BEST BANG FOR BUCK on the market right now
