Anyway to remove the abrasives from a Green Scrub Pad

I'm using these green scrub pads for the RSP mod but they have a fine abrasive on them. Would washing them in the washing machine with no soap take out most of the abrasives?

Honestly that doesn't seem very safe. I've had great success using the blue foam mod. with this particular foam. No need for straws and I vape the cart dry every time.

Get the blues scrub pads. No abrasives and work like a charm.
