So a Joye eGo can actually vape tobacco proper?
Man. I do not want to go back.
oh btw found out something about Casaa for ya: CASAA.org
This is about the all mighty $ and we all know it!
I'm not a researcher so I don't know how to find this but wouldn't it be interesting to see how much tax money is collected in tobacco tax by the year and/or month. I'd like to know if its going up or down and if e cigs have really had an impact on tobacco sales and tax.
Betcha e-cig.com is on the FDA's "hit list". BuhBye e-cig.com!
I doubt it. It's a Chinese Web site.
What's more insidious in the warning letter to Johnson Creek (posted here ) is that they are pulling comments from the web site where users are saying how e-cigs help them stay off regular cigarettes and using those as proof that JC is in violation: "The above statements demonstrate that the Johnson Creek Smoke Juice products marketed by your firm are intended both to affect the structure or function of the body and to mitigate, treat, or prevent disease."
But in reading the quoted statements, they are not hard and fast claims that "Using an e-cig is a smoking cessation device!"...they're softer comments that we've all posted somewhere: "thanks to e-cigs, my cravings are way down", "I have not had a tobacco cigarette for over 3 months, and I no longer have any desire to have one", etc.
If they are calling those comments "evidence" and they can be used against JC in court, then we're in trouble. Won't be too hard to dig up very similar comments users have made on many a vendor site...
4) CASAA: Where are they? No I'm serious here people. I've seen them on this board. Why don't I see them elsewhere on the Internet? On TV? On the Radio? In the Paper, or talking to the press? They need to do something already.
Are there any producers capable of the guidelines outlined in the FDA infractions letter to JC?

You may not realize this, but CASAA is an all volunteer organization, not backed by any large corporation. We are kept alive by donations from folks like you. We collected a grand total of $70.94 during the months of July and August. That won't buy an inch of advertising space in any media other than the Newington Forest Community Association Newsletter (circulation ~200).
Yes, we discussed the dismal state of our finances at the last board meeting. We collected $685 in donations to the IVAQS research project during that same time-frame. So it would appear that we need to make a bigger pitch to get some donations for CASAA proper. We have announced that henceforth, we will set aside 20% of all donations to CASAA to go toward research. It's a start.
See my signature line for a link to make a donation.
If you have the connections to book me on Oprah, Rush Limbaugh, radio, whatever, I'm ready to go. All the other board members have full-time jobs that they do in addition to volunteering for CASAA. Many are also raising small children. None of us know how to get ourselves booked on the big time media. If you do, please contact me immediately!!!
As far as the Internet goes, look at any story dealing with E-cigarettes that allows comments to be left and chances are good you will find comments from Kristin or me (or both) in there. Kriston and I both have blogs. I'm working on a post regarding the FDA's heavy-handed action.
Anyone want to step up to volunteer to get us more publicity? To raise funds for the organization? How about you, GtrSoloist? What talents can you offer?
