Apocalypse Stash

I'm thinking about it. If it looks like they're going to do this, I'll quickly order some nic liquid for DIY, which I do anyway. And probably some basic batteries, enough to get through a year, as I don't use a tube mod or anything like that.

Since I'll need nic liquid before then anyway, I'll just quadruple the size of my order and store it in the freezer.

Flavoring won't be restricted and really can't be--they won't stop selling menthol crystals.

then i would reach for this...

waffles-1_zps19a363e1.jpeg

then my juice

but that's only in the event of an apocolypse.

Without the apocolypse and just the fda banning things needlessly i would totally order gallons of HHV and some others.

Well, the FDA has officially now issued its "Notice of Intent to Propose Deeming Regulation by April 2013 for e-cigarettes and other tobacco products" . :( Looks like it won't be long before we know exactly how the FDA proposes to handle our ecigs. You will find the offical notice in the Legislative News section here on ECF.

nicotine is actually used as a pesticide so they cant restrict that either. The farmers would have a fit

The FDA could always require denaturing nicotine for bug poison to make it deathly poisonous for people too. The denatured alcohol you buy at the pharmacy is actually booze alcohol (C2H5OOH) like vodka, but with poisons added to make it undrinkable. There's no way to remove the poisons.

Best to stash some liter bottles of 100 mg./ml. niquid in the freezer.

That's what we ol' farts used to think about firearms (learn from Australia's recent history). Times are/have been changin'. Glad I'm an ol fart that served for and enjoyed freedom! Welcome to the sheeple nation...

Seriously Iffy, your beginning to scare me! Perhaps I'll buy an extra liter of ejuice...

Another horrible thought just occurred to me. With all these rumors of big tobacco entering the e-cig business they could have lobbyist out there trying to make it hard for the small operators. Coincidence that regulations are being passed at the same time??? Perhaps I'll buy that backup mod I've been thinking about....

500ml of 100mg juice would be enough to last me about two years, diluted down to 25mg, which should work out to close enough to 24mg after flavoring.

Since I have two other vapers in the house who'll be just as effected by damning legislation as I am, I can probably convince them they need to help me finance a DIY endeavor.

I intend to be ready.

I was just wondering is anyone is stashing up on supplies in anticipation of the new regulations. I have always been a planner and don't like to be without my comforts. I'm a little ashamed to say how much I have stashed, I could go years without buying anything. Are there more people like me?

I believe there are many like you mitzeli. Compared to the price of cigs, stocking up for whatever reason is cheap and easy right now. But, that could change SUDDENLY.

Don't panic Susaz, but do prepare. If for no other reason than the possiblity of BIG price increases.

More expensive than in Buenos Aires, I don't think so. I generally buy for the month plus one. Unfortunately I'm on a budget and can't stock that much. I'll keep my fingers crossed that China will fill in the void.

Hi Susaz,
Im aware of Argentina's inflation. America is lucky for now, but i see prices going up. What happened to the Argentina economy, could also happen here.

currently sitting on >3 liters of nic, with another liter on the way. I should be set for a while.
Now I don't feel as silly. My plan is that I could lower the nicotine level slowly until I get to a place where they may mandate. That is the reason for my stash. I could lower slowly over a few years until they get it worked out.

Make that WILL happen here... for everything! Ya'll haven't seen anything yet... Oh, wait, has anyone compared current food prices vs. just a couple of years ago?

I agree Iffy.......didn't want to cause a panic. Goverment keeps printing "funny" money, something bad is going to happen.
