I HAD to start with 36mg. It was the only commercially available nic level that killed the cravings.

By now I've stepped down to pretty much 24mg only - except first thing in the am. I've been "clearing out" my back stock of 36mg either by diluting w/ 0mg VG or cutting it 50/50 w/a 24mg juice (ending up @ 30mg).

I'm not buying any more juice for a while (with a very few important exceptions) until my juice box is mostly empty.

So when I first started vaping - at our local little vape shop buying my first PV, and I know nothing except that I don't want to smoke anymore and what I had read on ECF. I had picked out my PV kit (Ego C) because it was supposed to be good and the shop had it in stock for me to buy right away.

I had no idea about juices.
I told the guy that I smoked about 1 pack per day of Marlboro Golds and had for 15 years (I started in high school because it was cool )

He recommended that I buy a bunch of juice at 36mg. So I did.
And spent the next week wondering why I felt nauseous with headaches and palpitations and lightheadedness and chest pain all the time.
:glare:

I thought I was just withdrawing.
Nah. I was poisoning myself.

Ah well.
I survived!

Moral of the story - verify information obtained even from those you would consider to be in a position to dispense accurate advice!

Sorry for the rant, that this happened still bothers me.
Who knows how many new vapers this guy steered to 36mg nic??
And how many of them quit vaping thinking that it was the vaping itself that was making them feel wretched?
:(

I had to start with 36mg as well. Nothing else did it for me. I've stepped down a few times in the last year and now mainly vape 18mg, and starting to use 12mg in genesis attys..

Some people just need that higher nic in the beginning, and some people feel nautious with that much. To each his own :)

I just found that 36mg meme..and thought it was cute as a joke..
Personally I started at 24mg..After a mo..I found I liked vaping ALOT..But I was experiencing
what lettucehead mentioned..Fortunately I found a ton of good info on ECF..and quickly figured out I was ODing on nic
Currently at 12mg..seems to be my happy place:)

Actually - it just happened to me like an hour ago . . .

While I understand ECF is always trying to keep us up to date with all the "New" stuff - I would prefer if they would just fix the stuff they have so everyone would be able to use the forum the same way without having to change browsers, as it seems they are trying to force everyone to do . . . But that's betting a dead horse to say the least . . . ;)
