I love my KGo but, I can't help but be interested in variable voltage PVs. Apollo has 30% off right now on their Vtube kits and I'm really interested in getting one. I'm wondering what your thoughts are on them and what is the difference in the SS & Chrome vs Black & red. When I asked on the live chat on their website they told me that the Chrome & SS had an Ego adapter which just confuses me more. I thought that the Ego was just a 510 threading. Also, does the red kind have different internals than the chrome or SS. And would the Apollo Vtube be better than the Ego-twist??

Would I be able to use my 2.0 ohm cartomizers or should I order another kind?

Yeah, you can use your 2 ohm cartos on it. Although, the maximum voltage you would want to use those would be 4.2 or maybe 4.5 ohms. If you use them beyond that point then you can potentially burn them.

An ideal choice would be a 3 ohm carto. Since you will be able to utilize all of the voltages on your vtube.

All of them have a 510 connection. So, you'll be good getting any color that you want. As for your other question. No, you don't need it for your KGO.

It's only significant if you own a mod. If you like using Ego Mega Cartos (dual coil or single coil) then you would need to use an adapter. If you don't use them then it's not going to matter to you. Most people, including me like using standard, XL, and XXL 510 cartos. Which don't need an adapter. If your planning on using a tank on it. Then the Ego adapter is going to create an unsightly gap. Which might or might not be important for you.

Hope that helps.

The red and black ones are made out powder coated aluminum. Which is fine if you like a light weight mod. If you go with one of those, like the the red you mentioned. Just be careful. Once you hold one in your hand you'll know what I mean...you don't want to accidentely drop it.

The chrome one has a stainless steel type caoting as well. Giving the impression that it is a SS mod. I would not recommend that one. My first mod was chrome coated and after a year of heavy use the chrome was peeling off. It wasn't pretty.

I own a black and a SS from apollo. The SS is really nice, heavy, and durable.

As far a Ego adapter...they are all 510 threading (as mentioned by washvap) Ego Adapter just means you can use parts that are made for the Ego on the LT.

Dual Coil Cartomizers are a big discussion in the LT thread. The LT struggles with being able to pump out the right voltage to DCC's. Thus making single coils on the LT better.

I was frustrated at one point myself. I wanted to use a tank, but hated the Dual Coils in the tank. Then I found the CE2. I use CE2's in my DCtank.

I use Resurrector cartos and CE3s on mine. For the 1.7 cartos I stay around 3.7 volts and it works great. Mine is the Mini model and it works just like it's supposed to. I have the eGo adapter which allows me to use any eGo hardware without problems, just adds a bit of flexibility. Apollo ships fast as well, good vendor to deal with.

Ok, I think that ya'll have me talked into the SS version. After doing some research it does sound like even though it's more money, it will last me awhile and that's what I need. I started vaping to be healthier and save some money and these upgrades are costing me haha. So, I would like to get something that I don't have to upgrade for awhile. The tank thing is really confusing to me though cause I have never used one. Right now, I just lose 2.0 ohm cartos on my Kgo. Suggestions for some things I need to get started on the Vtube? Also, do you think they will have them for another week or should I not take any chances and order one ASAP?

The built in ego adapter is a must! Get one of them 2! Basically the ego connection has a skirt around the connector, the 2 with the ego adapter has the same 510 connection but has a round gap in the top that an ego skirt will fit in. Plus they look way better!

So, if I buy the SS version I should still get the ego adapter? Sorry, I'm less than a month in to vaping... still get confused

The SS has an eGo connector that works with most eGo style cartomizers/atomizers..however there are some that might require an adapter or 510 extension..others here will know what ones require an adapter..you probably would be helped best if you posted what brands and types of eGo stuff you use...

I just received my first Vtube from Apollo. I am loving it so far.

I only have DC Mega carts from my Ego kit (that I also bought 2 weeks ago) so I ordered the adapter for that type of cart with the Vtube kit. It is only needed because of the skirt that sticks out on the cart that I have.

I tried the atomizer that comes with it. So far I am not liking it. I am having to drip every few puffs and I am new to this so I may be doing something wrong.

I will be ordering an extra batt and the Vision 5ml Nova clearomizer this weekend. I have heard they work well with this tube.

I am overall loving this over the current set up I have!
