Another thing is that "that guy" deemed it necessary to claim that both the Nitecore Q4 and the Nitecore UMS4 are old. The reality is that the UMS4 first appeared only a few months ago so in fact it's still very new; again I'm only pointing this out so everyone can very easily see who is posting garbage.

That is pretty much exactly what I've been trying to explain to "that guy", right after he started quoting me with his garbage replies.

You are ' that guy ', you just lack an inkling of self awareness so you simply don't / won't / are unable to recognize it.
News flash, nobody cares if you think you're right & somebody else is wrong, this isn't a grade school playground competition.

There is simply no valid even semi adult like reason to poo all over someone's thread by bringing your drama from other threads into it.

You'd argue with a fence post.

Do you mean to tell me you didn't write the above to still continue to poo all over someone's thread? This is getting more than just a wee bit silly.

I already nicely posted several nice things about several products that I nicely think are nice and that might nicely tick your boxes due to how nice they factually are. :D
True, sort of. What you are glossing over is...Gah. It’s happening again... I just have a weakness for trolls it seems.

Nice buy. It's been around for a while and I've read good things (although not on that massive database link from earlier with every charger listed since Edison came up with the light bulb, I have to tackle that one when I'm waiting on a delayed departure at an airport). I'm still using a now old Nitecore D4. Still works great, although the 750 mAh X2 and only 375 mAh X4 isn't exactly speedy. Then again my batteries never even get a tad warm so I don't sweat the extra half hour or whatever a newer charger offers.

I also have a habit of generally not running my batteries down to the mod cutoff. When I'm on the last bar or whatever display is available, I swap out for fresh and usually find the battery (s) at about 3.6 rarely 3.5V. On mechs I'm switching out at maybe 3.8V when I notice it's getting low for me.

I still also own my old Nitecore D4, but I stopped using it soon after I got my Nitecore NEW i4 (i.e. the successor to the Nitecore i4) because of the speed difference, and also because my fingernail was leaving imprints on and around the top insulator ring of the batteries whilst taking them out of the D4, but not with the NEW i4, and also because 20700 batteries were a bit of a tight squeeze in the D4, but not in the NEW i4. The UMS4 is my new favorite right now, though. It fixed everything that I always found a little bit annoying about the NEW i4. I also like the fact that being able to choose a modern quality USB Quick Charge adapter that has built-in protections implies the charging circuits will be doubly protected, as the UMS4 itself already has built-in protections, but still feels safer knowing there are extra protections inside the Quick Charge adapter if you use a quality one.

When I first began using external battery mods I bought the D4 as well, but sadly mine only lasted just over a year.. (certainly not a common experience I don't believe)

Xtar is just another good all around charger. It reviews well both here from users and at the site that reviewed every charger ever made in the history of chargers. lol

Review of Charger Xtar VC4

So it's probably about the same as the D4, I would imagine, and for a good price. Most people dont need more than a 4 bay, and the cost has gone down this last year.

Some of the guys in the Shiny thread were talking about some new charger they all liked, but I can't remember the name.

Not really the same as the D4, as the VC4 is USB whereas the D4 isn't, and, the VC4 is a bit faster than the D4 (if you choose a powerful enough USB adapter to go with the VC4).

As for lygte-info.dk reviews, I take them with a big grain of salt. For one, I highly doubt his thermal images are anywhere near accurate because any shiny surfaces on the object under measurement will just reflect infrared light emitted by the environment, as Mooch has clearly shown in his Minding Your Mechs episodes. The UMS4 review on that particular website doesn't really go into specific details about why the rating in the final conclusion is just "fairly good" whereas the UM4, which is essentially just a slower version of the UMS4, received a rating of "good" so I can't help but think these reviews must be awfully biased, as most "reviews" typically always are. lol

If you took the time to analyze the web site and how the reviewer conducts his tests instead of critiquing it, you will see that he mentions “The actual precision on this type of equipment is not very high (Within a few °C).” for his thermal imaging test. Non the less, the temperatures within a users environment could be different than the reviewers environment, but the data given can still be beneficial. If your only concern with a battery charger was absolute accuracy in temperature, then by all means cherry pick this reviewers methods and criticize them.

Tests conducted in a controlled environment, using the same methods provides a consistent benchmark for others to evaluate. This does not mean the benchmark portrays real life experiences. Criticizing these tests without providing a ounce of objective data is nothing more than giving the same biased opinion that you so strongly disapprove.

Until Mooch starts reviewing and publishing his charger tests, its the best source we have.

Looking forward to @Mooch charger tests. Always beneficial to have tests from multiple sources to compare and even get a different opinion. But I imagine it will take quite some time and a s**t load of effort to get any kind of database the size of the lygte-info site.

Chargers are fairly simple it doesn't matter how "new" x charger is they all should charge roughly the same, charge rate aside. Now of course that's with well known brands, the cheap chargers I know nothing about. I personally like Efest chargers along with Nitecore since they both run off their own power supply. The only difference I've seen is the Efest terminates at 4.2 while the Nitecore (2016 model) terminates at 4.15-4.17.

wait .15ohm at 20w vapes ?
how the ,.,. do you go through so much mah power at 20w
that's what I'd like to know....even when I'm not chain vaping the topside and now capo don't hardly last, but when I'm chain vaping bwahahahaha yeah I'm killing the batteries

I got used to the aegis legend's dual batteries and then even the asmodus spruzza single battery seemed to last a good while.....but the topside and capo barely last an hour and a half when chain vaping and then maybe 3 hours when normal vaping (though I still vape a lot for normal)
I took the topside with me on one of my 3 hour drives for work and it died before I even got to the work site...
