LR attys aren't really recommended for use on the eGo, although people use them anyway. The reason they aren't recommended is because the eGo battery is only 3.2V and LR attys are designed to be used with 3.7V devices. LR attys can ruin MOSFET type batteries like the eGo. Some people have good luck with them, others find that it decreases the battery life and sometimes ruins them.

If you really want to try a LR atty, I wouldn't go with anything lower than 2.0ohms.

Thanks for the info. Sounds like I will just order some more regular attys, just in case.

There is a risk with using LR's on an eGo but if you are comfortable with the rewards then LR's are really nice. I am partial to the Cisco LR 306's. These attys are for dripping and they bring tons of vapor and nice flavor. Some people do however find them a little to hot for their liking. They can be found on the Volcano site or Ciscos site avidvaper.com.

Great. Well, maybe I'll give them a shot and see how I like em. What do I have to lose, other than the atty. :)

Possibly a battery or two! But, I am in the same boat, and ordered a pair of LR attys to see how they might improve the eGo experience. Let's hope our batteries can take it!

uh.. your batty?

If you want to try a different experience.. I suggest looking into a 306 atty (compatible on the ego/riva/510/etc) It is supposed to be similar to a high voltage vaping experience. I think the janty version is the mini fogger.
(on another note.. you could also try a carto or two)

have fun.. and welcome!

jplanet, did you order the two 650's, or the kit with 650 and a 900? I have both batteries, does anyone know what the difference would be between the two on an LR atty?

I have two 650's...From what I've read so far, the only difference with the 900 is longer battery life, I don't think that they hold up any better with LR attiies, but might be mistaken...

It's isn't the mAh (650 or 900) that will make the difference. It's the voltage of your battery. eGo's are 3.4 fully charged and 3.2 under load. Plus eGo batteries are a MOSFET type and sometimes using LR atties ruins this because they just can't take the power being generated. That's why I suggested not going lower than 2.0Ohms on the atty. You still take a chance by using these on your eGo, but it's a bigger chance if you go lower than that. I know, I know...some people are using lower ohm attys and haven't had any trouble. There are some who have lost multiple batteries by using the LR's, Mistress Nomad is one of them.

This article will explain LR and HV attys and when to use them. There's also a link to a handy Jules and Ohm's Law Calculator.

What are These LR and HV Attys?
