Are these Boge LRs suppose to be this harsh?

Yeah, VG doesnt absorb well. Takes a lot longer. Other than that, flavor can pick up after a couple fills. But they take 20-25 drops to fill first time...Never fire with under 20 drops becuase coil is at bottom...Not full until a drop or two comes out the bottom (without accidently putting them in the air hole).....Not hard to work with, just fill right from the start, and its your new best friend. Once you start to see little black dots in the drips that come out bottom during fill, thats the indicator of remaining lifespan, or lack thereof.

I had the same problem when I first tried the Boge LR's. The fill just wasn't wet enough. I thought it was, but I did the same thing you did....and the next day it was excellent!

I've been using them since. However, I did get one bad one in a box this week. It was plain awful, no matter what. Burnt taste that would NOT leave. I tossed it. The others are fine.

I've just ordered some regular Boge, because I've found the LR clogs up fast if you use sweet or dark juice. It works great with tobacco flavors, but the sweet and dark (like coffee or chocolate) tend to be more harsh than they should be (I also use the XL's and the tank)....and then you get the clogging problem. I think because they're burning hotter it causes the sweetener to caramelize on the coil, therefore clogging it quicker. So I'm going to try the regular with the sweeter/darker juice to see how that goes, and use the LR's for the tobacco juice.
