Are these caps good for a TI Booster?

The rating looks right, but I have no idea if they are low esr or not.
TIA!

You could try them. Remember our e-cig use is not all that critical. Some have used the booster with no caps.

Figuring whatever the hell they want for ESR is quite confusing.

Looking at the spec sheet Kemet T495 caps are mentioned.

Here is some 16V ones. Seems Tantalum caps can use a little extra head room.

Digi-Key

These are the ones that Nuck uses on his booster.

Thanks WB. Those surface mounts look nice and small and from nuck's how-to seem easy to solder as well. I've also got some in 25v and 63v, and both are temp rated at 105C as opposed to the 85(?)C on the ones in the pics above. Is the higher voltage or temp indicative of a lesser resistance?

I'm hoping to get better battery life while boosting:?:

It's hard to say. Maybe, but is it significant? Your slick mods do look to be a hassle for batt changes. To me the only advantage to boosting would be to have an in-mod charger. I guess they may be safer (no stack). But the TI adjustable regs (I can get 8 UCC283-ADJ for the price of one booster) can handle more watts and are much smaller. If you are a Joye atty user the booster's "Up to 12 W Output Power" means 5V is pushing it to the max. Would probably be best to stay a bit below that.

Mamu's new mod uses the LDO just for that reason. She wanted the 5.4V that the booster could not provide.

About those caps they can make for a very tidy build. Here's tinear's work.

Wow that is really tight! I don't need that small of a package but bulky caps aren't a joy either. I looked a little harder and can get possibly decent tantalum smd's locally too.
What I'd ultimately like to do is be able to boost a 14500 in a 2AA form factor or a 18350 in a jumbo fob and have it a) work, and b) last decently. And you are right, my mods aren't for the tool-queasy but it gives the hands something to do.;)
