If it wasn't for Photochoping skills I'd have to buy my e-juice too.

Actually, I believe that is an axe wielding serial killer who made the wise choice and dropped analogs. I can tell by the 'Missing Person' t-shirt that he uses to taunt the Florida authorities. There is a picture of his latest victim on the front of it (body hasn't even been found yet). Now, if he would move up from killing homeless people, he might be able to afford his own e-juice. Some people just have no drive... :p

You box it up java?

No dont have a box to put it in. Besides that these cheap China batteries i got wont run the thing without cutting out. I have been power it off a evercool chip for testing. the 200k pot really doesnt make to big a difference maybe a .5 or .6 of a volt lower. running a 10k with the pot works out best. For me the trick resistor value of 36k gets me down to 4.2 volts. So it goes from 4.2 to 6.2 with no diode. Not much else to report really works great here. Just got to order up some good batteries. and make something to slap it into. Might be time to crank up the lathe i am thinking tube with a Panasonic 18650 in it .

Ok Let me ask a dumb ?... LOL i have read thu this whole post.. from what i gather you are adding the 4050 boost chip to a VV board so you can boost One 3.7v batt and adjust the volts from say 3 to 6v simlilar to a LT? if so i want a hand full of them LOL PLEASE let me know.

ty and great work

Thats pretty much it , but the voltage goes from around 4.2 to 6. You could get down in the 3 volts range using the diode but it is less efficient since it burns off the extra voltage as heat.

Most folks just get the free samples from TI. I don't think anyone sells the module on a VVboard. They are pretty costly if you buy them. 20 bucks for just the ptn04050 @ digikey and mouser. then 5 bucks in parts and you have to make a PCB. So this is mainly a chip us modders play around with.

I am in the beginning stages of modding fever.. back in the 80' and 90' i used to play around with cb radio and tweek them so this is bringing back so many memories LOL.

This is a great idea .. is there a smaller version we can use... i tried to get a sample from TI last night but it wouldnt let me everytime i went to check out it woud remove the chip from the basket and wouldnt let me choose quanty

Would love to make my WILD MAN WOOD into a boosted VV Bottom feed.. right now it is just VV using a MV board.

Keep up the good work guys glad to be apart of this thread
