I'm in the worst shape if the storms as bad as I keep hearing. Evic is charging but I only have the single 18650. Have a mostly fins crooning 510 as backup as I loaned out my other units. But full batteries are useless when my remaining 2-3 ml of juice runs out.

Sorry to hear about the juice situation

I don't think we're going to get hit hard, but it looks like we are in for some kind of storm. I'm charging up the couple of low batteries, and making sure the others are handy, just in case the power does go out.

For all of you out there who are going to get hit with snow and ice, stay safe, and may your batteries and juice outlast the storms.

The First Rule of Vape Club is....
The 2nd Rule of Vape Club is back ups for your back ups and back those up. I've learned that the hard way, so you don't have to!

Mother nature doesn't scare me. In the 70s, 80s, and early 90s, she tried to kill pretty much everyone living North of the 45th parallel at least twice a month.... and everyone else at least half that often. She didn't burn me - she didn't freeze me - she didn't drown me - she didn't shake me to pieces - she didn't blow me off the map.... I'll be dipped if I let her keep me from my 555.

Not good news for me! I have a delivery in Pittsburg on Friday morning. In Arkansas now but will be on I-70 from Indianapolis.

The good news so as not to be off topic is i have enough batteries, devices and juice to last for a long time, plus an auxiliary power unit on my truck for heat and power to charge said batteries. Now i just need to make sure I have enough fuel to run the APU. There's always something......

I just made it thru...over a foot here...still have to get thru the blowing a drifting stage. I charged up yesterday...21 ego style batteries...2 stick batts...4 18650s...3 18350s,,,3 14500s...25,000 mAh total...My wife and I can last almost a week (longer if the car starts and has gas). Even longer if she leaves me...

Living in Hurricane alley being prepared for storms is a way of life.

I very early on stocked up on batterys and picked up a small solar panel USB charger that can charge both my phone and my ego batterys. I hear there is an xtar one bay charger that runs from USB. It is on my want list if it will work with the solar panel. That extends the life of my big batterys in a storm too. :)

All my Ego batteries are charged and I'm going to charge my MVP1 overnight. This way, I'm ready.

If not, I have a plan B: hook'em all up to my car battery via a cig lighter adapter and a USB charger I have in my car. Problem solved.

That's the way to do it!

Personally, I have a small car battery and a 12 volt regulated power supply inside my house for the purpose of powering my computer, modem and maybe tv too in the event of a power failure; should be enough to take a puff too :)

....When I first started vaping using the tiny Joye 510s....I had 3 and was always in a sub panic about running the batteries out ....they didn't really last a long day ( all 3 of them in one day) then I moved up to the eGo ....then the eGo twister ....then the Vision spinner vv 1300 from there to smoktek vv/vw1300...and before I even have gotten the vv/vw in the mail, I panicked again and got the itaste vv.....and 2 more knock off 1100 vvs ....I now have 10 of these things here, and 5 more coming in the the next couple of days .....have passed on a few batteries that I deemed not fitting in ...or I wanted someone to try vaping ...and I actually used up 2 of the visions .......I have heard that the more batteries you have and use, the longer they will all last...

.......the hardest thing about vaping is making sure you have at least 2 or 3 working set ups, plenty of juice, and a good charger, and lots of extras like coils, clearos and batteries.......I spent much of my early months worried that I would run out of juice or batteries in the middle of the night, or somewhere I couldn't get more of anything should my set up flake out on m .....

....so with 10 batteries for this storm .....I should be ok .....I know having 15 (which includes the new guys) batteries is silly....but I am realizing that if I drop down to less than about 8 batteries ....I will have to rectify that situation lest it make me twitchy....storm or no storm ....:D

the trouble with batteries is you don't know how well they can hold a charge; ease your panic and get a couple of these:

and get the usb car adapter so you can use it in a car when the power goes.

Well, I'm happy to say here in Dayton, Ohio, from the looks of it, the worst is over. I won't know what the roads will be like until the morning when I go in to work. But Ohio is kinda OK about clearing the the main roads, laying salt and brine, etc. At 3:00 AM, outside, it looks peaceful and quiet and there is no storm.

Now ice. If there's ice out there and I can't see it, I'll freak out.

As far as vaping goes, I have four fully-charged MVP's. That should help me weather out the storm in any kind of emergency.

A new winter storm is due in tonight for the North East US, bringing heavy snow followed by ice and freezing rain. Driving around New Jersey today the trees were very heavy with snow, I'm just waiting for the first power outage...:(

Are all your batteries charged fully? Even the eGo's you seldom use anymore.

Can you find them in the dark, if you can't find your flashlight...
Thank goodness for my MVPv2 and the dozen 18500's I have layin round. But my power/cable tv withstood Hurricane Sandy, so I think ill be aight.

Well.. I have a spare car battery.. a tank of compressed air in the garage.. a shop vac hose.. an oxygen mask.. duct tape, tinfoil, and lots of tools.. I'll manage :)

MacGyver would be proud of you. Just be careful not to over-nic everyone in the house if that shop vac hose bursts

How did everyone fare last night. Mostly slush here, was definitely expecting more

Kinda the same here. Rained/froze all night, but it lingered at around 33 degrees. Crazy. Now, I took the puppy out just a bit ago and she was slip sliding in the yard, lol. But, the wind...... oh boy.
Windy!

From the vape standpoint, I'm still on the same charge!
