Are you stockpiling / hoarding due to fear of the upcoming FDA announcement?

I'm not hoarding anything again. I learned my mistake when they said Twinkies were going to be extinct and now Twinkies are back.

Now I'm stuck with a ton of Twinkies and they have a longer shelf life than I do. :p

Keep on vapin'! :vapor:

You're lucky friend. The new twinkies are smaller and they don't taste as good.

When I can I'm buying a 1,000 mls of 60mg nic base. That should last me a while.

Like people have said, they can't ban wick, wire, flavors, pg or vg because they are used in other applications. Wizard labs isn't worried. They've stated that nic is used in other applications. They are expanding operations in my home state.

Hmm, you might be sitting on a goldmine FloydianSlip!

I used to have a "cigarette" category in my budget. No longer. Now I have two new categories: "vaping supplies" and "peace of mind." The former is for batteries, diy juice/flavorings, and misc. accessories. The latter is my nic juice freezer stash. Like others have said, I hope never to have to use it, but it gives me peace of mind to know it's there if needed in the future. I don't consider this hoarding.

Quit worrying about the FDA worry about winning battles on the local levels.

You'd better worry about the FDA and what the Feds will do since Federal law trumps ALL State and Local laws.....

At any rate, I do agree we all need to write our elected officials and do our part in the fight..

First, I naturally tend to stock up a little. I don't buy 5 shampoos at a time. But, I do put shampoo on my shopping list as soon as I open a new bottle. I don't wait until it's half gone. I may get distracted and forget. Or, I may happen to be broke at the time I need it.

But, with vaping I'm more extreme. As a former smoker, I know how they see us and how little conscience they have about how they treat us. I know they feel that nothing they do to us is too much.

No, it's not even just that. It's that common sense has been gone for so long that you just can't trust what insanity they may deem to be reasonable in their insane little reality.

So, yes I'm stockpiling. I've got about 4 years worth of nic so far. I don't know that I'll stockpile more though. Not for now. Instead I'm trying to learn to DIY with lower nic without losing the flavor and TH. I can live without the nicotine. But, I need the hand to mouth and a reasonable flavor and throat hit. As soon as I learn to do that without nicotine, I'm set!

I DIY my own juice and have dropped my nic level to 1 mg. I should be at 0 mg before Oct with Nic to spare.

I have 2 AGA-T2 with spare parts, a Pheonix, an Octopus, and an IGO-L

I have 2 mechs

that is aside from my more store dependent stuff like protanks and CEs and carto tanks + heads and cartos

I can vape for a VERY long time no matter what they do.

When the Zombie Apocalypse happens, Twinkies and nic liquid will be valuable trading commodities. Desperate preppers will emerge from their silos and bomb shelters to trade ammo for a Twinkie and a vape.

Their goal is sometime in October. It was supposed to happen this past April. It may get pushed back again, or not. That will be when they announce what they plan to do. The key word being PLAN to do.

They count on meek acceptance. Will we accept our restrictions, like addled school boys (and girls)?

Or will we stand up tall and make our voices heard?

Of course we need to see the plan first. I have every intention of going into full "take the fight TO our enemies" mode should any of the deeming regulations prove not to my liking.

Let them hear us, and know we are not meek sheep. Let them hear us roar!

You know I plan to fight ;)

Until they announce their plan, we can't know what the strategy needs to be. In the meantime, we need to keep fighting the skirmishes that keep cropping up. It's good practice for the big one that may or may not be on the horizon. There have been victories. When a group of people receive hundreds of emails in support of e-cigs and none against (as in this recent case in Canton, MA) it DID make a difference. :)

I joined the CASAA mailing list. Is there anything else I should be doing?
The two main things we always need more of are...
--Sending letters to legislators regarding various attempts to ban, tax, or otherwise restrict vaping
--Posting comments after articles about vaping

The easiest way to go about it is to simply let your story be your voice.

Me, I'm just tapering down my nicotine. If there's a de facto ban (excessive taxation and regulation) then it won't be too hard for me to adjust. But if there isn't, I won't have spent a lot of money (and contributed to the panic run on suppliers) by stockpiling - and I'll be less dependent on nicotine, which is not a bad thing, right? Either way, I'll be ahead of the game, IMO...

But I am gonna join the rest of you in fighting against restrictions, no doubt about that.
