Are you vaping to give up smoking all together or is it your hobby now ?

I wanted to quit smoking but past attempts showed that it was not an easy thing for me so I decided to try ecigs. The switch was easy even though its been a bit of a challenge getting things to work properly some times. It was never my intention to use them to quit completely and that's a good thing because now I am as addicted to the little vapeing toys as i am the nicotine. I think I am as addicted to tinkering as much as the nic :)

I took up vaping to get off of the analogs after 35 years of smoking. I thought I was going to be one of those guys you see sitting outside of the hospital in their gown and IV bag puffing away. I liked smoking and vaping has replaced it with very little discomfort during the transition. I don't vape as much as I did the first month so I'm guessing I'll probably taper it down to nothing sooner or later.

I started vaping to quit. That happened the first day I started. Started with 18mg nic and down to 12 now. I would love to get nic free but I'm not going to put a date on it. I like vaping and may not stop even if I drop to 0. It has become a hobby now and if I do quit vaping there's going to be ton of nice mods up for sale in the classifieds. :vapor:

I originally walked into the vapor store to get a basic set-up to quit smoking but that didn't last for more than a few minutes. It reminded me of walking into a headshop back in my ganja days. I felt like I was surrounded by toys. haha
A few hundred dollars later and I walked out with a nice sized bag of assorted batteries, cartomizers, clearomizers, juices, lanyards, cases, chargers, and some other goodies. It DEFINITELY became a hobby realllllly quick and I don't intend on that stopping any time soon. So much for this being cheaper than cigarettes! haha
At least it's still healthier for me, not my wallet, but definitely me.

I like to smoke the only downside to it was the health risks. Vaping seems to be a much healthier alternative to analogs so don't plan to give it up atm.

I started a few weeks ago with a 510 kit, then upgraded to a twist setup last weekend and now looking at what else I can get for my twist. So looks like a hobby and a smoking substitute for me, haven't had an analog since I got my twist Saturday so don't feel bad spending more money into it :)

Started in early January to quit smoking. I'm not off completely yet but have cut down drastically and making progress every subsequent week since then.

I don't intend to keep vaping which is why I haven't "upgraded" from an Ego Twist. However, since March, I began making DIY juice and rebuilding coils to save money. I've gotten pretty good at both but don't want it to turn into a hobby although it may sound like I have developed one.

I've been vaping and off cigs for 2 years now. But, I know that I would go right back to smoking if I quit vaping. I can go longer with less discomfort with vaping than I could with smoking. But, it's like a security blanket or a pacifier to me. I need to know it's close by at all times.

At work, I keep a little stealth ecig in my pocket. As long as it's there, I'm fine. I don't need to actually use it. I just need to know it's there.

I will never purposely try to quit. I don't dare. But, I will cut down on the nicotine a little at a time. Probably not to 0 nic though, probably to about 6mg. That's a good healthy level to help with focus and memory in my old age. I need all the help I can get.

If by some chance I find that I go days at a time and don't happen to vape, I'll just start keeping a few pre-filled, sealed cartos and a couple of batteries in an emergency kit in my purse. Just top off the batteries once a month and put them back in my emergency kit.

Of course, I also always carry band-aids, neosporin, and tweezers just in case. I seem to need more security than most.

Not smoking is the reason for my vaping, the only reason I vape is to not smoke. As time goes on I'd like to stop vaping. I am just not that smitten with it. I get settled in for a nice vape and POP a mouth full of e-juice, bleah. Maybe with some higher end equipment and better juices.

Don't get me wrong, this is a wonderful invention and I feel like I'm able to breathe for the first time in many decades. My poor lungs, they worked fine till my young and invincible self decided to screw them up. Fortunately they seem to be making a comeback thanks to this PV thing.

What is nice is that since I don't vape nearly as much as I smoked i get a nice little nicotine buzz….sorta drift away and stare off into the distance for a few seconds. Ahhh yea, really nice buzz…

Regards,
Ray <-- Goodness, did he just vape and get nicotine buzzed? :)

My original e-cig was to hold me over while I couldn't have an analog... at the time, basically just an additional method of acquiring nicotine. I haven't had an analog since that first Cig 2.0 but I admit it, I'm a fiend for nic and caffeine, the last vices that are "reasonably" acceptable. I didn't enjoy the smelly and dirty parts of analogs but if vaping is legislated out of existence, I will more than likely go back to stuff you have to light on fire. I hope not though.
