Hey guys, I want to make a thread specifically directed at these Cannons.
I noticed there been a small number of folks that are suffering from this and I really want to pin point what is happening here as it's only happening to some. Myself, I haven't come across a leaking one yet, but am looking for answers on what we can do to remedy this. Please let me help you by helping me.

All those experiencing this problem, please report the following:
1.Voltage being applied
2.Resistance of 510 Cannon
3.Color of the 510 Cannon
4. Ratio of liquid PG/VG percentages please
5. Flavor of liquid
6. Speed of leaking from filling
7. How many drops before leaking
8. If you guys and gals can think of anything that would be useful really.

My thoughts are as I heard it from only a few members by email(3 so far) that they're 1.8 and 2.5 are leaking. I'm thinking that the stresses of 4.19V on the 1.8Ω model and 5V on the 2.5Ω are disrupting the mesh, but this is just theory. I really want to trouble shoot this.

My beta one has been leaking since about 30 minutes after I started using it. Not sure if that counts though... was it from a production run? Either way...

1. 6v
2. 3.5ohm (Just metered it - 3.5ohms)
3. Black
4. 70/30 (Your RY4 :))
5. ^
6. Basically, the speed it takes for it to travel through the ceramic cup. Literally 2 seconds or so.
7. Any amount. Dripped or squonked.
8. I've logged roughly 10 hours total on the atty to see if that would break it in. It seems to have gotten worse with usage but I didn't complain about it as I only use it on a Grand.

Hi Isaac, Thanks for posting this thread... I was starting to think it was just me :) I went back and read and re-read switched's post on them a couple times to make sure I was priming them correctly and so forth.

1. voltage 3.7, using it with a 900 mah eGo battery
2. 1.8 ohm
3. Stainless
4. 50/50 PG/VG ratio
5. Lemonade flavored
6. Almost immediately
7. any amount... pretty much what loft stated above.

I have used it for 2 days, thinking perhaps break-in time would help. I bought 2... haven't tried the 2nd one yet, will fire it up and see if its the same.

I also bought 2, 3.5 ohm Black ones. I have not tried those yet either... they don't fit on my Infinity :-/ lol, so I'm waiting for some 510 to 510 shorty extensions to arrive so I can try those babies out :)

I'm not sure if you would call it leaking or not Issac. I'm using a 2.0 black cannon on my Woodvil at 3.7. When I squonk I stop as soon as I see a glistening of juice so no juice in the cup until I take a hit and then I end up with juice in the cup.

1. 3.7
2. 2.0
3. Black
4. 70/30 BWB
5. Vanilla Bean by BWB with a couple of drops of AVE Chai added to it.
6. As soon as I take a hit
7. Any amount

I added about 13 drops to the bridge and let it sit for about 10 minutes. The first hit, the flavor was fantastic. The second hit almost tasted dry and burnt. I squonked and the next hit I took the juice leaked into the catch cup and tasted dry and burnt. This went on for about 4 or 5 hours. Sometimes no taste, other times hot and dry-like. I blew it out a couple of times and even let it rest on it's top to make sure I wasn't flooding it. I tried just dripping and the juice still comes out as soon as I take a hit. I gave up after about 5 hours or so. I have a 2.5 black Cannon that I haven't tried out yet. I've been gunshy to try that one. I sent my other 2.0 to a friend to see how it worked for them. I don't think they are having the same problem with that one but I'm not sure.

Yes I have also found mine to be quite leaky. I have only tried one thus far. On my Chameleon is it not anywhere as leaky as it is on my VV box mod.

1. 5.5volts
2. 3.5ohms cannon
3. Stealth (black) cannon
4. 30/70 PG/VG
5. Cinnamon Danish Delight Kick bass Vapor
6. It will leak 10-15 seconds after dripping liquid
7. I only drip 3-4 drops at a time, just enough to quench when it is dry.

8. I did notice that if I remove the atomizer and drip into it the atomizer does not leak. This is also the case if the atomizer is standing up straight or lying on its' side. It does not leak until I screw it onto my device then it will make a mess everywhere the very moment it is threaded on. I find that VERY odd. This leaking is the same with any flavor of liquid and any mix I have. This ranges from 70%VG to 100%PG.

I have not tested 2.5ohms or 1.8ohms in black or silver. I have only tested 3.5ohms black. I hope this information is useful so we may be able to scientifically eliminate variables that can skew results.

Definitely experiencing 510 Canon leakage here. It seems like I'm constantly trying to strike a balance between the atty being too dry, and having it leak juice out the bottom.

1. 6v
2. Marked 3.5ohm, measures 3.5ohm
3. Stainless
4. 50/50
5. FSUSA Hopscotch, among others
6. When it does leak, it seems to almost run right through.
7. If I add juice when I begin to get the dry atty taste, 3-4 drops will start the leaking.
8. Find the balance I mentioned above. It makes for a less than optimal vaping experience, but at least it makes the Canon useable.

Purchased stealth 1.8 & 2.0 ohm. Hubby mislaid the mm, so I can't tell you exact V or how these meter out...grr. 18650 batts on 3.7 device various states of charge but not real low. 14500 AW in other device.

1. est 4.1 down to 3.8
2. 1.8 ohm
3. stealth/black
4. 80/20 unless your RY4 is pure PG
5. tobacco, floral, pear, nothing really dark
6. Atty#1 about as fast as it took to travel to the bottom. Atty #2 didn't leak until about 20 minutes in and then the same rate, however I only dripped this atty.
7. I tried as few as 2 drops and still leaked.

Have not tried the 2.0 ohm as I'm waiting your word. Treated these as I would any of your 801's primed with 10 drops or so, waited, dripped 3-4 more, vape. Seemed to take longer to get the seasoning going. A lot of dry vapes when there would have been enough juice in an 801 mini. Maybe there is something to the wicking speed as I would add more just when the dry taste comes (like I do the minis) but then would be flooded. I have loved your 801s since you hooked me up. These act differently and I couldn't seem to find the sweet spot between drops/vapes. I spent 10+ hours with the first atty. Only about 5 with the second as the frustration level was too much those 2 days. I went back to my minis and am happy. I did note that the stealths I have are MUCH airier than the minis. I thought that was odd. I do chain vape and I imagine that is important for you to know ;-)

I have encouraged another vaper to contact you regarding her leaking. Not sure if she has.

Hey Isaac, I have been experiencing very bad leaking on my 1.8 and am yet to try the hv one but I am excited to hear that the hv ones might not be affected. Here is my info....

1.Voltage being applied- 3.7-4.2 using an AW 14500imr
2.Resistance of 510 Cannon- 1.8ohms
3.Color of the 510 Cannon- steel
4. Ratio of liquid PG/VG percentages -70pg 30vg
5. Flavor of liquid- I have tried three or four different flavors and all leaked. wtf from kickbass, tiki from halo, honey beez
6. Speed of leaking from filling-very quickly, seems like within ten seconds every bit of the liquid is in the catch cup.
7. How many drops before leaking- not sure since I have been using on a bottom feeder but will try a non feeder and let you know.
8. If you guys and gals can think of anything that would be useful really.- These leaked almost immediately the first time I used them and when I first tried it, my battery was not fully charged, it was maybe half depleted so I would assume being an imr that the voltage was probably around 3.8-4volts. On the positive note when I draw the liquid back in and take hit, they taste amazing and give a great vape. I want to love these things so I am glad we are working on a fix. Thanks

It sounds like some of your info might help get to the bottom of things, the comment about the stealths being more airy than the 801 minis, aren't the 510cannons suppose to have a slightly more restricted airflow, not sure what that means exactly but maybe it is the placement of the airholes or something. Sorry just thinking out loud.

I can't find the post, but I'm pretty sure the Cannon's are supposed to provide more air to the vaping experience. 801 mini's were a tighter draw.

Agreed. Mind you I pulled an 801 off the day these arrived to try them and after 2 days not being able to figure them out, back to the 801. The leakiest was super airy to me. I was actually thinking about breaking off a toothpick in one of the holes as an experiment. Gonna pick up some o rings like mwa suggested too and see how that works out.

Loft, with the site closed, we can't see but I thought the airflow was more restricted like a 510 but the 801 internals in the description.

Hi Isaac. i hope you are having a good time in florida!
here is mine:
1.Voltage being applied---3.7 i've used it on the woodvil; tried it on the phidias--less leaks but shallow catch cup so i stopped using it on that; and on a provari at 4.2.
2.Resistance of 510 Cannon --2.0
3.Color of the 510 Cannon--stainless
4. Ratio of liquid PG/VG percentages please---vg.
5. Flavor of liquid it has boba's bounty in it
6. Speed of leaking from filling--- i can drop in the drops as was recommended. if i go past 6 it runs out the bottom even if i let it sit as recommended. it stays in the cup until i start to vape then it just runs out the bottom.
7. How many drops before leaking-if i just drip after the initial prime i can get away with maybe 3 drops?
8. If you guys and gals can think of anything that would be useful really.---what was weird is that with the woodvil i wasn't even attempting to feed it initially. i was thinking the mod was self feeding or something.

I gave one away, and that owner loved it but he did say it leaked before his died after 4 hours.

I have not tried the last 2.0 i have, nor the 2.5 or the 3.5
yes, it's airy but i just figured it was supposed to be that way
after a few days, i have had less leaking but the atty and I are still working on our relationship as of yet:laugh:

Exactly Van, Taz is definitely on to something here along with all of you with this wonderful in depth input.
It seems like the opening on the bottom res is too large on certain devices creating some sort of gap for the liquid to literally fall out of. Mind you, I'm Not referring to the mods as the culprit, it's my job to ensure we can use these products on all different mods that carry different styled threads, from hairs of diameters and depths which is what makes this position difficult. I wish that i can show you what i'm looking at but Val packed away the camera and the phone isn't proving very useful. I think if we finish off the bottom base with a higher mesh density in place of the splash disc (that you would see on our 901s from the top side )... Let me keep thinking on this. THANKYOU so much for this guys, This really helps very much. The manu is choosing to stay away from this as it's our own creation, but we Will nail this,

Isaac,
I was wondering if their will be some sort of an exchange when they are fixed? These really give great flavor and vapor but the leaking issue keeps me away from using them and I just use my 510's,306's,or 901's.I would really like to have the option to exchange the 4 I bought for replacements that work correctly when available as i'm sure others would too.Sometimes I need to scrape my change together to by my vaping supplies in this poor economy so this would really help.Thanks.

I myself found the 2.0 would have a little leak, but only when used on my provari. Also on this mod, draw was a little constricted, and flavor was slightly diminished. But when used on The empire with a 901 to 510 adapter, there was no leaks, draw was so smooth, and flavor was intense. When it leaked on the provari, I removed atty and wiped the threads, then re inspected. My finding were 2 little drips that were developing right where the connector is inserted thru the ring on the bottom. But nothing out of the air holes.

Here is part of the description...
while keeping the medium restricted airflow that you came to know and love, the 510. ...

Right on Isaac, I am gonna give it a try on a couple different devices and will report back.
