Might be repeating myself but 24mm is a totally dumb choice of form factor for an atty directed to the m2l market (ie me).

I'm surprised that they didn't made it 25mm. It's the next "step up" above 22mm. The huge advantage is that you get far more capacity without making it too tall. Pico 25, evic primo mini, sinous,.. are all 25mm ready, single 18650 and not too expensive. This tank adresses new vapers and you simply have to buy a matching mod for it and there are plenty.

Unless you have a CoolFire IV, iStick 30, or a Defender (25 or 36W). Those are older single battery mods that will work just fine with 24 mm atties. Sorry for repeating myself, but I don't want anyone to think that they need to buy a 2-battery monster mod in order to use the Ares without the dreaded overhang.

And I agree that the Pico 25, Evic Primo mini, and Wismec Sinous P80 are all excellent choices. Primo and P80 are currently on sale at Health Cabin for ~12 bucks + shipping.

I too have no mods>22mm and have decided to get a Pico25, and an AL85 after that.
I 100% prefer a shorter, wider tank vs. a taller, thinner one.
And 3.5ml is my low capacity cut-off.
So the Ares has been well designed for my preference.

Speaking of RTA sizes, I posted picture below about 2.5 years ago, 30mm vs. 18mm. Hope we are not going back :)

I'm cool with them going large. I'm adequately stocked, and selfishly a bit happy that things are moving outside of my range. This vape thing gets tempting once in a while, and it's a little easier when things disqualify themselves for me.

For I am weak. :vapor:

But you're going to end up with one of those 25mm JAC Sand Storms real soon now, just like that Boop toon you hang out with.

Can an aspire zelos handle a 24mm atty?

Certainly no device that has a similar feel to a cigarette is going to have the capacity to hold a 24mm atty - which is seemingly what PB and Dimi are saying is their target buyer, those new to vaping who want to recreate the smoking experience...

So, they either want to target mtl vapers new to vaping, or they want to target experienced mtl vapers. it seems they cannot make up their minds which it is. Experienced mtl vapers rarely if ever use large mods... but are at least more likely to do so than a new vaper wanting to recreate smoking.

Are they hoping for the new vaper who unwisely bought a large mod they now hate? Possible.

Just not many in the mtl crowd wanting a 24mm atty - certainly not enough to rush out and by a Siren clone for all intents and purpos as at least an authentic Siren v2 comes in a 22mm size which was the most popular size for the original Siren, and an aspect that made it a quite popular rta in the first place.

I thought the one Kat has is 22mm...

I can't see her buying a 25mm personally - yet anything is possible.
Could have sworn that JAC which was popular was due to the 22mm size. . Have been wrong before though.

No, no - you're correct. The new one (just released) is 25mm. To be honest, we're leaning against, strictly because we don't need another.

Wow. Did I just say that?

@Katdarling - I think I might be coming down with something...:blink:
