Argh, new IP out of commission

It suddenly died. At first I checked it with voltmeter and it barely lit up and said 2.1 V. Now the light goes out when I hit the button, with or without carto/voltmeter on it. Tried 3 different sets of batteries. The thing is new, so there is no corrosion or other contaminates. Sent Notcigs message via website.

Problem is I have no back-up except some ego stuff I have actually sold and should be shipping. Have Precise+ order but no idea when that will actually ship.

Did you double check your batteries? It could be that they aren't fully charging maybe a bad charger

Ya, make sure batts coming off charger at 4.2v. Do you get a blue light or no light or ????

Geez, after screwing around with it for 3 hours, with at least 4 different cartos, and 4 different sets of batteries, and a voltmeter, and not getting anything but the light saying was on, and either a blue light or no light when pressing the button, suddenly it has started working again. Now it works regardless of which carto or set of batteries I use. Now I'm left wondering what is going to happen next.

With no carto attached, if you have a red light on then press fire button and get blue light, you're good. If you attach the carto, press fire button, and get no light, you have a shorted carto, --- or blue and red together, you have dead /bad batt/batts.

Apparently a lose connection somewhere although I have no idea how it resolved itself, but no problems since then.

Sometimes the internal brass battery contact can get gunk on it and cause this , also the side screw is a ground screw and this could also cause this.

Its also possible the cap screw under the top cap is loose. Mine comes loose every month or two from pocket travel Be sure to follow the tutorial thread if you remove the cap

Also on the side screw (ground) it can get anodizing under it and cause problems. Work it back and forth before tightening it. Glad you got that little darlin going again. That calls for a thumbs up.
