Okay, I'm pretty cranky. I've been wanting to smoke cigarettes since yesterday afternoon, but I refuse to do so. I just... Things turned all difficult.

My stupid oral surgery, they ended up deciding to have the upper implants finished with my dentures since they are ready now. They ordered the fiddly bits to sit on the end of my implants and inside my dentures, and said they'd be ready in a week. Only it is turning out to be TWO weeks, and my denture guy can't do my dentures (you reline the dentures, affixing them to the denture itself, different dentist) until the following Friday, and you can't put dentures in once male attachments are in your mouth, so it's going to be at least 2.5 weeks of NO SOLID FOOD as I refuse to put them in until it's time. I just didn't expect to LOSE a week. I'm stir crazy, I cannot GO anywhere, as working without teeth on the job... No. Also, going to AA meetings and other places... No. I take my kid where he needs to go, period, that's it. I shouldn't be so vain but I'm 43 it's no fun wandering around with my mouth all stoved in. Not even a little bit.

To make matters even BETTER, a small screw fell out of my mouth yesterday afternoon, and that's..... unnerving. I called periodontist immediately and they said it was probably just the small cap he put on to stop food going in there. It was the upper denture that almost/probably went into my sinus, but my dentist couldn't find it and actually accidentally cut INTO my sinus, and then had to stitch it up. They said it was fine until Monday, but man, the lower implant failed as it was exposed with no cap, so I'm not thrilled about this.... I really wanted to march in this morning and be like, "Fix it." But, I suppose half a week is likely fine, it just.... I just want to FINISH THIS. And, I don't want a GD infection right up in my lower sinus, that sounds HORRIFIC.

Oh well, keep calm and vape on, I suppose. That's what I've been doing but it's really hard to STAY HOME for like, more than half a month. I don't mind exposing my denturless face for my kid, but otherwise? No, sorry.

Sigh. I'm going to eat steak soon, I have been doing okay with the protein, but I officially now hate ensure shakes....

I suppose the good news is I bought a guitar and have a lesson with my brother TODAY! I'm psyched. Maybe I can talk him into skyping me every day for Outside World Contact. Something. Anything. ARGH.

I have not had a cigarette but there were days yesterday I SO wanted to.... But, I didn't.

End/rant/whine :)

Yes, I am excited for the guitar. I was a violinist for a long time and quite convinced I couldn't learn another instrument, but I can. We had to quit lessons when he moved, but now that I have my voice back, being as how I was trained in singing, too? I really want to have fun strumming along with myself. My brother is an excellent teacher, honestly, he's REALLY good. So, now I have a new guitar (my bro loaned me one) well, a cheap, used guitar, LOL. I guess I'll have plenty of practice time, this week. I still remember some stuff.... It will be fun, for sure though, and another reason not to smoke, I don't want to wind up so hoarse that I can't talk, let alone sing, that SUCKED. :)

Thanks for the encouragement guys! :) I appreciate it.

Oh Stols, what can you do? :p
Guitar is great fun, and pretty easy to bash out a tune on.

Good luck with both, perhaps learn this song... :p

Nah, no song about dentistry, LOL! I'm scarred for life, even looking at that picture skeezed me out. You know, I remember Little Shop of Horrors quite well, it was one of the first American Films I ever watched when we moved here, and I loathed it, heh. I was like, "This is a thing?" my brothers loved it they watched it over and over, LOL.

I will be singing happy songs about... flowers and donuts and horses on the loose in the road and what happened next (I will need to compose that song, haha, it was another Exciting Tucson Adventure . :)

Yep, been doin' that one for a long time.... Though, smoking was by far the hardest addiction to break for me, even with a vape, LOL. They say your last addiction is the toughest. Oh well, definitely going to stand on my head, have a guitar lesson, these are all happy things :) I shall focus on them, thanks you lot for pointing them out :)

Sorry to be a giant whiner.

OMG, that song.... To make it worse my husband's name is Ted. LOL. No, my song will involve me running through the weeds on the side of the road after loose horse (I used to own horses, so I wasn't going to leave it) my kid was with me and the horse was fine for about 20 minutes while we even tried to figure out what to do... We were told, by the pound place, to call the cops. So, I did and my kid has cop anxiety (understandably) so I had to make the call and kid is not so well versed in horses. The horse got away from him so me, and eventually a neighbor who came out, were trying to get cars OUT of the road (horses, especially quarter horses, are like hitting a MOOSE man, it's not good) only this one dude WOULDN'T budge and then the horse jumped out of the road all unicorn like, I mean NO ONE could have avoided that horse at that point, dude... Then the guy finally stopped, his car was pretty undrivable.

THEN, me and the neighbor got the horse corralled into his property (fenced, thankfully) and the guy was all, "What's the Spanish word for horse, I can't get close to him." I was like, "Stay the F away from that horse, man, there is to be no reasoning with it, it just got hit, let the cops deal with it."

So, Sherriff pulls up and I am running up the SIDE of the road (it was a bad day to wear heels) to update him as to what was going on, and he started screaming at me violently including curse words to "get out of the road," even though I was not IN IT. I YELLED apologies back though I did not mean them, but I know TPD and did not want to get shot. After a final, "I APOLOGIZE!" the cop actually said, "I'M GOING TO NEED A MINUTE TO GET OVER THIS!!!!" And got back in his vehicle and started BANGING the steering wheel, and cursing, then got out and ran RIGHT down the center of the road, as he accused me of doing.

He had this very short assistant who began asking me questions but by then, I was ...... and said, "You know what? I did not HAVE to stop to help this horse. I was being a Good Samaritan, and frankly your sheriff is beyond inappropriate. As far as I'm concerned, I will provide information after he apologizes, or you can get my story out of me via force, you can freaking get a search warrant and come to my home, I am not REQUIRED to give you ANYTHING other than my name and phone number."

I would have continued but noticed my kid, who has cop phobia, turning the palest shade of WHITE ever, he was still on probation at that point, so I caved and the guy who stopped after hitting the horse had no license and she was all focused on, "Do you know what his rate of speed was?" And I said, "I have no idea, I don't have one of those lasers in my car like you guys but I can tell you it was NOT his fault, and NO one could have avoided that horse, he JUMPED from behind a bush at a HIGH rate of speed" I kinda felt sorry for the dude, he really wanted to leave and kept asking me what I said, and I was like, hey, leave if you want, all I told them was that the horse got hit by a silver SUV." But, he stayed.... Sigh. They immediately started processing him, though if I had no license and people yelling at me to STOP THERE=? I may have listened, so I didn't feel INSANELY sorry for the dude.

Anyway, me and kid continued on to grocery shopping and I called husband to let him know my tale of sorry woe and he called later and said that I'd given our home number to Sheriff and that he "couldn't remember my cell digits" and so he called husband like 3 times, and EVERY TIME my husband demanded his badge number, LOL. The sheriff finally called me and.... APOLOGIZED, Win, LOL. :) He was actually kind of nice, I mean he was like, "I realize a lot of people wouldn't have stopped, I was just worried about everyone's safety. BTW, the horse is okay," which I'd figured by seeing the impact, it would have been a muscle injury not a snapped leg. and I was like, "Oh, I'm just glad the horse is OK, I love horses plus they are a serious menace in the road, that's why I stopped, didn't want anyone getting hurt." and he was like, "Me too," and we left it there.

Getting an apology from a sheriff around here is almost impossible. I just wish I'd known what to do sooner, that horse was fine with me for like a half hour, but then it wished to be DONE with me and made it so. Heh.

I've got plenty of material here, I think. Writing out the horse story cheered me up... Then later that night a swat team invaded our neighborhood and arrested a hitman, so that was super interesting too....

It really is the wild wild west around here, LOL.
