I hope the V2 has a larger deck and some bigger juice channels. Seems most of these newer Velocity style decks are so tiny(the Crius, and the Cthulhu V2 as well) Its hard to fit larger coils on them. I still havent even figured out the Crius, frustrating spending 35 bucks and not even using. But thats for another discussion. The current build I have on the Aromamizer was working alright at first... 22G, 430SS 3 MM coils...(0.08 ohm) right now though the chamber and the deck is getting really hot. I believe the 22G wire is just so crammed in there I could barely get the chamber to close without the wire touching the sides so thats restricting airflow making everything get hot. This is with a contact coil too very tightly wrapped. I used a Kuro Coiler tool to make the coil and I squeezed it as much as possible with some ceramic tweezers. A spaced coil with 22G may be possible but not with Horizontal Coils, maybe with some Verticals. Honestly until Ralph at Unkamen has 26G or 24G 430 SS I think Im just going to go back to Kanthal for awhile. (I also have some 26G Titanium that I could try) I really think however that 430SS is not only the best SS grade but the best of all the TC wires most likely although have yet to try Titanium. Just the 22G isnt exactly practical with these small decks. Maybe on a MuTank or something like that...its supposed to have a larger deck and huge juice channels.

The Aromamizer in general has been such a love hate relationship. When its working properly it is hands down the best tank I own for flavor and clouds. However if the wicking isnt done well enough or the coils are the wrong size or positioned wrong I get some of the worst dry hits Ive ever experienced. There seems to be very little room for user error at least in my experience. Not only do you need to know exactly what your doing(which I dont lol) but for me I have had to have a little luck... its about 50-50 half the time working great other half of the time dry hits. Have had the most success though with 24G Temco Kanthal.

@Chris863 Once upon a time I believed SS (plural) to be the best possible TC wires. Used 316, 317, and 430 from various vendors.

Then I (we) found Nifethal 52 (Zivipf 48) and the quest ended.

I know there are SS 430 fans here but try to get some Nifethal 52. It may change your mind about "the best" TC wire. Other than KA 1 for my BF's it is the only wire I run.

@jazzvaper I have been really wanting to try some, but I haven't found any sources in the US. Do you know of any?

Frankly, I haven't looked for a US source (a) coz I have enough to last until (b) there eventually is a US source.

I am in the next few weeks intending to order 23 and 27 awg. Maybe more 28, 26, and, 24 awg.

Has what I want: dry-burnable, sturdy, long-lasting. (I do not have a nickel allergy.)

I wish that when I ordered mine from Zivipf that I knew his NiFe 30 was actually Nife 70, I want some of that too.
I await your report. [emoji6]

Higher TCR but more Ni, which would make me wonder whether my highly valued criteria would hold up (dry-burn ability, durability, sturdy).

BTW I vaped a prebuilt Ni coil from Steam Crave. Been a long time. Not terribly bad. Not good enough to wrap my own Ni coil. [emoji12]

I probably will never get any though. I would expect it to be reasonably durable. I'll go back to Nichrome before bothering with Ni200 again, just too flimsy to suit me.
Edit:
I'll let you know when I get it, just ordered 25 meters. Shipping was only $5.48 usd

QFT - I've been using zivipf's NiFe48(52) in 25 or 27 awg on all my aromamizer's for a few weeks now and I totally agree - the quest has ended.

Yep, I meant to say 25 and 27, not 23 and 27.

Lemme guess, the 25 with 8-wraps dual just above 0.11, and the 27 8-wraps dual staying around 0.15?

That's w/o checking SE. [emoji41]

:thumb:That sounds like it would be about right... I'm wrapping on a 6/32 screw which comes out about 2.6 mm, 9.5 wraps, and 25 comes in about 12-13 ohm and the 27 is 19 ohm.

I tried Nichrome some Ni80 and wasnt in love with it. I basically compared 24G Kanthal with 24G Nichrome at about the same ohm and the Kanthal stayed cooler and was a more pleasant vape for me. I dont believe I have a nickel allergy though so that shouldnt be a problem. I did notice some what of an aftertaste with Nichrome that I havent encountered with Kanthal(Suppose Kanthal could have its own aftertaste and Im just used to it or its less noticable)

believe Nichrome is more for like cloud chasers a lot of folks I think still use that for competitions and stuff but is the NiFe even comparable to Nichrome will it have a similar taste/aftertaste? Im willing to buy as many wires as needed until I find that perfect one for me(Kanthal 24G is the most reliable at the moment) Feel like some 26 and 24G 430 SS might be just what I need but I'll try to buy a small spool of the NiFe48 or the NiFe30. The wire you all are speaking of is Nickel Iron? How is this different in respect to Ni200 or Ni60 or Ni80 wires? Thanks for sharing your experience :)
